Excellent location. Lovely welcome tray above and beyond. Cottage had everything you needed. Did feel a bit chilly in the evenings with being open plan, (we did stay late Sept/early Oct). Not au fait with log burners so didn't want to chance it but I guess if you know what you are doing then cottage would have been toasty. Did have an issue with thRead moree boiler on day one but contacted Gurkha and issue was sorted quickly. Hide

A great find, well equipped and spotlessly clean. It was very convenient for visiting lots of lovely nearby towns and coastline.

Lovely cottage very spacious. Sandgate is a lovely village plenty of cafe's but could do with more pubs that sell food, there is really only The Ship Inn as The Providence no longer do food and The Earl of Clarendon is a bit hit and miss on opening times and you need to book. There is a petrol station about half a mile towards Hythe which has a smaRead morell supermarket attached and there is a large Tesco about 2 miles away CT19 4QJ Hide

Lovely cottage very close to beach and shops in Sandgate. Ideal base for exploring the area either by car or from the bus stops close by. Some nice places to eat close by and take away for nice pizzas and great fish and chips

A lovely cottage with easy access to the pebble beach and the little selection of shops on the high street. You can walk from the cottage to Folkestone along the promenade; took about 40 minutes at a leisurely stroll. A good selection of cafes and street food outlets on the harbour there. Comfy beds (didn't test the bunk beds) and good quality beddRead moreing. Courtyard is small but has a table and chairs and BBQ. Considering there are adjacent houses, we had very little noise from neighbours. Hide

Kings Cottage is a well presented house with all modern facilities situated off the Main Street in Sandgate. It is near bus stops to Hyde or Folkestone with good connections to Canterbury etc. The food at the Old Ship Inn was excellent. The house has various small steps throughout the ground floor. One of our party was in her 80s - it did not preseRead morent a problem but something to be aware of. The central heating did not work for the first day but was rectified on the second day by the local agent. Hide

Lovely cottage, great location and very well equipped. Couple of small steps on the ground floor which my 82 year old mum struggled with but overall a great place to stay and wouldnt hesitate to recommend. Sulav manages the property and is easy to contact for extra bedding etc. Loved my stay!
