Located in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this beautiful holiday home is full of character and charm with stunning views across the rolling countryside that reach as far as the sea on a clear day. Keen walkers will enjoy exploring the local footpaths on offer, and for those that want to venture further afield, hop in the car and a short drive will take you to the market towns of Heathfield (6 miles) or Battle (6 miles) home of Battle Abbey, the site of the 1066 Battle of Hastings. Other attractions on offer nearby include Batemans, the former home of Rudyard Kipling (4 miles), Pashley Manor Gardens (10 miles), and Bodiam Castle (11 miles). Bexhill with its famous De La Warr Pavilion and the rest of the Sussex coastline, is only a 10-mile drive away, where you can find sandy and pebbled beaches and bustling seaside towns and villages.

Step inside this beautiful property via the grand double entrance doors which leads you into the spectacular, vaulted, open-plan lounge/dining room which has a central wood burner, a wealth of exposed timbers, and exposed brickwork. Relax in front of the Smart TV after a busy day exploring the local countryside or gather the family together for a delicious meal in the dining area. Adjacent to this room is the well-equipped kitchen which has everything you need for preparing family meals, and a breakfast bar – perfect for a morning coffee or to chat whilst dinner is being prepared. A glass walkway, with seating and views of the garden on both sides, leads you through to the three cosy en-suite bedrooms: a king-size room with en-suite bathroom, a double room, and a twin room, both with en-suite shower rooms. Completing the property is a handy utility room.

Heading outside, there are multiple areas to enjoy the sunshine. Just outside the kitchen is a secluded courtyard terrace with a patio table and chairs, and a gas Weber BBQ for outdoor dining. On the opposite side of the house is a pretty garden with a little pond (please ensure children are supervised) and a sun terrace with relaxed seating. Beyond this is the paddock which is great for playing games in and has amazing views of the Weald, and on a clear day, you can even see the sea.

We really enjoyed our week's stay in Dallington Barn, the lovely garden and paddock were ideal for spending time and the dog was in her element investigating where the wildlife had been. The barn is well equipped and the bedrooms very comfortable. We appreciated the well organised kitchen with plenty of shelf space for our stuff, huge fridge and thRead moree gas barbecue. Hide

Beautiful, comfortable and luxurious. We had everything we needed for a peaceful weekend with friends. The host is gracious and lovely. We would definitely come again!

Just to say how much we loved our week staying at the Barn - it was warm with very comfy beds and so many beautiful things to admire. We thoroughly enjoyed making new memories visiting Battle, Batemans, Bexhill & Mayfield and would happily stay at Dallington Barn again.

What a stunning house this is! Spacious, full of real character and well equipped for a family but also full of beautiful paintings, books and history. We loved cooking on the Aga, but there is also a regular oven and everything you need for cooking lovely meals. The high ceilings make the barn feel really grand, and the huge wood burning stove wasRead more a big plus as our visit was in winter. Very comfy beds too!
