This spacious property, which can sleep up to five guests, is ideal for those wishing to explore the natural beauty of Kent Downs. With the pretty Kent countryside right on your doorstep, you will never be far from nature here. You’ll find an abundance of woodland, footpaths, wildlife and birds to explore and discover around the nearby village of Stelling Minnis. In the village, there is a friendly pub serving drinks and tasty meals, a shop and post office, and the Church of St Mary Stelling which dates back to the 13th century. The Stelling Minnis Windmill and Museum is a beautiful structure and fascinating experience for children and adults alike. The historic town of Canterbury is located a short drive (approximately 8 miles) from the property and is well worth a visit. Explore the cobbled streets of this medieval cathedral city and discover breathtaking architecture, modern boutiques, fantastic eateries and more. Whether it’s a brisk walk through beautiful woodland, a slow amble around the local village or city of Canterbury, or simply reading a book in the pretty garden at the property, you get to choose the pace of your holiday retreat here.

This eco-friendly converted barn has been designed using energy-saving methods with ground source heating, ventilation and heat recovery as well as triple-glazed windows. The barn has even been decorated using organic paint. Set on one level, the property welcomes you with a light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, which has mood lighting, comfortable leather sofas, a coffee table and a TV. The stylish kitchen and dining space has a dining table and chairs and a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare and eat delicious meals whilst overlooking the countryside from the large windows. There’s a set of French doors in this space, which lead out onto a beautiful outdoor area, perfect for alfresco dining. There are two well-appointed bedrooms (one king-size and one twin room with a daybed) which have been decorated in a simple modern style and offer wardrobe space for your belongings. The king-size bedroom boasts an en-suite shower room while the twin room has an en-suite bathroom with a handheld shower.

The outdoor space for this beautiful barn is wonderful, with a paved patio area to the rear of the property dotted with charming planters and fantastic views, and a pretty area in which to sit and relax to the front.

Very comfortable and clean property. We were impressed with the heating which was subtle but very effective. The property was airy and spacious. Very quiet, but near the coast and Canterbury for days out.

We had a great time staying at Apple Barn, the owners were very helpful even going as far as to unpack our delivered shopping when we were delayed arriving!
