Built in 1820, this elegant Grade II listed Georgian property is the perfect place for the whole family to get together and enjoy all that the Sussex coast has to offer.

If you're looking for an impressive property for a group holiday in Sussex, this Grade II listed Georgian property won't disappoint. Located in Icklesham within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just 3.5 miles from the shingle beach at Winchelsea, this charming accommodation is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Once a vicarage, it's spread over three floors and has room for up to 10 people and one dog – ideal for a big family gathering, a school reunion or a holiday among friends.

This brick house has a beautiful brick facade with climbing plants and attractive white casing around the front door. Inside, your party can spread out over five bedrooms, a games room, a huge kitchen complete with a gas Aga and an open-plan lounge/diner. There's plenty of outside space too, with a lawn at the front and a large garden to the rear with a terrace and summer house. On warm evenings, cook up a feast for everybody on the BBQ and enjoy it in the fresh air.

Icklesham is a scenic village with two welcoming pubs and its very own windmill. There's plenty to do in the surrounding area, including taking long walks through rolling hills and past the sandstone outcrops and scattered farmsteads of the High Weald. The historical port town of Rye (5 miles) has independent shops and plenty of good restaurants – make sure you visit the iconic Mermaid Street. Hastings (7.5 miles) is a wonderful option for a day out. Look around the antique shops, ride up to the cliffs on the funicular railway, then enjoy a pack of salty chips on the seafront.

The cottage has a charm of a 200-year building, with huge bedrooms and plenty of space for a large family gathering. Parking accommodated 4 cars stacked in. Local footpaths were muddy. We made regular use of pool table The large fridge was ample to store all our food and drinks; The oven was good for a roast and there were plenty of plates/cutlery.Read more Tablecloths and place mats were dirty, but house was generally clean and perfect for our stay. We enjoyed our stay and everyone was able to relax. Hide

The property is over 200 years old and has great atmosphere. This reflects in the interior which is a little tired and would benefit from some attention. It is very well provided for in the kitchen and there is always plenty of hot water at all times.

Lovely property. Great, quiet location but only 10 mins from Rye and the beach at Winchelsea. Beds really comfortable and great decor. Loved the pool table. Lovely local pub with great food at the Queen's Head. Would definitely book again.

We were looking for a property where we could celebrate a milestone birthday as a party of mature adults, the old vicarage fitted the bill perfectly. All the bedrooms were generously sized with comfortable double beds and more than enough living space for us to relax without being cramped and a decent sized dining table to all sit around for sharedRead more meals. The open fire in the lounge was delightful to gather round int he evenings. A fabulous weekend and thoroughly enjoyable. Hide

Large spacious house - which we needed as there were 10 of us ranging from 76 to 6 and a half. We ate both in the generous dining room, and outside the conservatory when we had a barbecue. A good place for hide and seek, both in the house and the garden. Beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside.

Fabulous house, in a quiet location, perfect if you want to stay in or get out for a walk. Loads of room, great for friends or family trip away. Know one gets short changed on the bedroom front. Amazing gardens for kids or big kids for that matter.
