This period cottage is full of rustic charm with exposed beams, an inglenook fireplace and stone flooring. Offering breathtaking views and easy access to the historic town of Winchelsea makes this a great holiday destination.

This pretty, characterful cottage is located a ten minute drive to the small historic town of Winchelsea, with its pretty and quiet pebbly beach. Within a ten minute drive is the medieval town of Rye, with its range of independent shops, plentiful places to eat and old-fashioned pubs. This is a wonderful place to while away a day, wandering the cobblestoned streets and perhaps visiting the tiny independent cinema. A further ten minutes’ drive past Rye and you will come to the seaside resort of Camber Sands, this offers a very different experience to Winchelsea, with its wide expanse of golden sands and choice of water sports on offer.

This traditional, beamed cottage, has steps leading up to the house, at the top of which, the front door opens onto the porch. Immediately to your right, you will find the sitting room with working inglenook fireplace, comfortable sofas and chairs and TV with DVD player and Wi-Fi. Continuing on to the kitchen, you will find everything you need including an Aga-style oven, as well as conventional oven and hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a kitchen table seating six, but the property also benefits from a separate dining room, which has an additional TV and DVD player, as well as the dining table. There is a separate utility room with a washer/dryer and a separate WC. Stairs to the first floor take you to the master bedroom suite with beautiful views across to Rye and Camber. There is a double bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has twin beds and the main bathroom is on this floor, with bath and separate shower. On the second floor are two single bedrooms in the attic eaves.

To the front of the property is a lawned garden with pathway leading to the front door. To the rear is an attractive courtyard with al fresco dining area and charcoal barbecue, which leads up to a lawned area There is parking outside the property.

Angel Cottage, beautiful! Stunning views too. Very well equipped & maintained. Full of character & quirky detail. Comfortably slept five adults and a child. Lovely cottage with loads of character and fantastic views. The house was spotlessly clean and it was nice to receive the welcome hamper from the owners. Thank you.

Such a lovely, cosy cottage. Beautiful patio which is perfect for bbqs and the views over to Rye are spectacular, no matter the weather. Plenty to see and do. Ideal.

I stayed at the cottage with some friends and family to celebrate a milestone birthday. It is in a great location, close to Rye and with the most wonderful views. Walking distance to a nice friendly pub and set in beautiful Winchelsea. Sofas and beds all comfortable. Lovely garden areas. Really enjoyed every minute and would thoroughly recommend itRead more. We had a great stay at Angel Cottage and loved the style of the cottage. Very fitting for Winchelsea itself. A very spacious property with an en suite and a family bathroom, with WCs on ground and top floor too. Well thought through. A very comfortable cottage in a lovely location, with fabulous views to Rye, Romney Marsh and Camber Sands. It is very warm and cosy, which was especially welcome as the weather was very poor!

A beautiful setting with stunning views, including a Tudor castle, Angel Cottage was the ideal location from which to explore the area. This is a beautiful cottage at a great location. We think the owners are very hands on with the setting up for new arrivals as the cottage looked really very well prepared and a more personal touch was very obvious. The views towards Rye, Rye Harbour and Camber Castle are very nice. Battle Abbey and Bodiam Castle are both fairly close. Dover CastleRead more and the White Cliffs can be visited as a day out. Hide

Angel Cottage is a very warm & comfortable place to stay. It is well located with good views and is quiet. As a building it is very interesting, though the stairs are steep as a consequence. It is well equipped and a lovely, restful place to stay.

Lovely cosy cottage in a pretty spot. Unfortunately not an easy walk to the nearest shingle beach particularly with young children and buggy etc. Probably best suited to older children and fit adults in terms of accommodation and area.
