This traditional, beamed cottage, has steps leading up to the house, at the top of which, the front door opens onto the porch. Immediately to your right, you will find the sitting room with working inglenook fireplace, comfortable sofas and chairs and TV. Continuing on to the kitchen, you will find everything you need including an Aga-style oven, as well as conventional oven and hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a kitchen table seating six, but the property also benefits from a separate dining room. There is a separate utility room with a washer/dryer. Winding stairs to the first floor take you to the master bedroom suite with beautiful views across to Rye and Camber. There is a double bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has twin beds and the main bathroom is on this floor, with bath and separate shower. On the second floor are two single bedrooms in the attic eaves.

To the front of the property is a lawned garden with pathway leading to the front door. To the rear is an attractive courtyard with al fresco dining area and charcoal barbecue, which leads up to a lawned area There is parking outside the property.

This was our third visit to Angel Cottage. The cottage is in a peaceful location with good walks nearby and wonderful views across to Rye and the coast. This was our second visit to Angel cottage (and we will be going again later this season). We love the position overlooking the fields towards Rye in the distance. This cottage is delightful. So pretty and just a five minutes walk from the village pub. We arrived to a well equipped kitchen and fully stocked care package which covered our breakfasts, thank you! Comfortable lounge and clean bathrooms. We had a great stay.

A romantic cottage with quite outstanding views set within a unique medieval village. The heating was up to the November/December stay. Very comfortable for a small number of guests, and for a full contingent of 6 with a couple of toddlers. Mark was very helpful and pleasant when we had queries. Thank you, we had a great time.

Fabulous views of Rye. Having a Rayburn makes quite a difference to the temperature of the cottage in the autumn although the central heating is instant and very efficient. The beds are comfortable and the use of four toilets is a plus. The New Inn pub is only 300 metres away and offers a wide range of meals at very cheap prices. Hope to return sooRead moren. Hide

What a delightful place! We are not tall family so we coped fine, however it is a cottage with very low ceilings on the top floor (great for children) and dining room. Very thoughtful details, e.g. towels, soap, handy arrival package. Comfy beds, lots of equipment, e.g. in the kitchen, books, dvds and plenty of room for a family. A really lovely cottage with great views over the fields to Rye. We had a lovely welcome hamper with bread and milk and other goodies on arrival. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, although not ideal for taller people due to the low ceilings! Its in a great location in Winchelsea allowing easy access to explore the local area.

A lovely pretty cottage with roses around the doors and windows. The views from the windows looking out towards Rye are stunning. The cottage is well equipped with kitchen utensils, furnishings etc and the garden is a relaxing place to sit. Winchelsea itself is beautiful for an evening stroll.

A beautiful character filled cottage with amazing views from the front across to Rye. Small pretty garden at the back, which is a real sun trap. We loved the old features, but it does have very low doorways and steep stairs which may not work for all. It was great to be so near to Rye and the kids loved the beach at Camber sands. Lots to do in the area too. Hide
