This cottage was not suitable for any one with slightly limited mobility as I think the stairs were unsafe and the decking could only be reached by climbing steep steps. Once at the top the view was great but i was disappointed to find there was no grass at all, only a strip of Astro turf for the dog. More clambering needed to pick it up! It was noRead moret safe to walk the dog outside the front due to the fast road with no verge. A lovely cottage inside, but not suitable for dogs or anyone less able. Hide

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The decking at the back overlooking the fields is just the best place to have all your meals when the weather is good. It is also conveniently located and has many great walks around.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very comfortable, inviting and well equipped in a very rural setting. However, although the property is clearly very welcoming of dogs and young children, it has limited suitability for either due to the garden being on multiple levels with steps with a very low level Insecure fence onto a sheep field. This is a lovely period cottage, very well equipped, and very comfortable. It provides easy access to the Rye, Hastings and Tunbridge Wells areas, as well as several National Trust properties such as Bodiam Castle and Batemans, the home of Richard Kipling. The road outside is quite busy, but both front and back gardens were enclosed, so it didn't pRead morerove a problem for us. There were lovely woodland walks for the ddog, not too far away, and he had a wonderful time! Would definitely recommend. Hide

Nice, comfortable cottage, more dog tolerable than dog friendly due to busy road and outdoor area.

The cottage is situated close to great destinations all a short drive away. It had everything you need to cook meals and a good oven/hob. The main road outside does have a lot of fast traffic and so we wouldnt recommend walking along the road at night. Lovely property! We had a very nice stay here over New Year. Large fireplace which made the room very warm and cosy. Lots of lovely features and attention to detail in the cottage. Great location, close to the coast and lots of National Trust sites. Would definitely recommend.
