Rye is a wonderful place for a break away from daily life, with its quiet, cobbled streets, array of interesting independent shops, bijou independent cinema and a range of places to eat to suit all tastes. Within a five minute drive, or a 15 minute bicycle ride, is the neighbouring village of Rye Harbour, with its coastal RSPB nature reserve, this makes a lovely place for a walk along the beach before retiring to the village’s popular gastropub.
Walking through the front door of this property takes you from Rye’s cobbled streets and into the welcoming hallway. Straight in front of you, you will find the magnificent lounge with its stunning views across the marshes and beyond. The sofas and chairs here make for a comfortable, relaxing space in which to watch the TV and DVD player. In the corner of the room is a small sunroom. The spacious dining room has a large table seating eight, feature fireplace and more of those wonderful views. The kitchen is a cook’s paradise. There is an Aga in use in the winter months, as well as a large Range cooker, plus a microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. A door leads out onto the flagstone terrace which has an outside dining area and views all the way across to Dover’s white cliffs. Taking the stairs to the first floor, you will pass a seating area with wide range of books. The master bedroom suite is on this floor, with its own hall off from which separate doors lead to the bathroom with shower over bath and bedroom with its double bed. The second bedroom has a double bed and a window seat to enjoy the views. The en-suite to this room has a shower over bath. The third bedroom is perfect for children with its two single beds and en-suite shower room. Another set of stairs, takes you to the second floor and the fourth bedroom, with double bed and en-suite shower.
To the rear of the property, is a flagstone terrace with views across to the marshes and the sea. The outdoor dining table seats eight and there is also a BBQ. Parking is available in local car parks nearby.
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
