  • Spacious seaside garden with decked patio and lawned area, ideal for relaxing
  • Located in the seaside village of Seasalter, a short walk from the village’s well-regarded gastro pub
Property code: WCC05

Stylish and light-filled single storey property situated directly on the beach in the seaside village of Seasalter, just two miles around the coast from the popular town of Whitstable.

Located in a pretty East Kent village, there is something for everyone with a stay at this beachside hideaway. However, the beach is undeniably the star of the show, leading in either direction from the back garden to fine dining in the nearby gastropub or town of Whitstable, and to stunning nature walks along The Swale.

From the moment guests walk through the door, it is clear that a stay here is all about the sea and connecting with nature. Although there is an abundance of comfort in the two bedrooms, the heart of the home is the open-plan living area with its bi-folding doors that stretch the full width of the house. Providing a panoramic view of the sea from the sofa, the doors can be opened fully to bring the fresh sea air inside and really connect the interior with the breathtaking views. But why stay indoors when a large deck area with table and chairs waits outside for al fresco evenings, along with a wild coastal garden and fire pit. Could this be the perfect spot to watch glorious sunsets accompanied by the gentle sound of waves lapping the shore?

Of course, with an upmarket gastropub serving fresh local seafood less than 1 mile from the door, evenings out are just as alluring. Alternatively, a 2-mile walk along the beach leads to the heart of the fishing town of Whitstable, where there are even more menus to tempt foodies' tastebuds. A trip to Whitstable also allows the town's art galleries, workshops and independent stores to be explored, while a further treasure trove of shops sits under the shadow of Canterbury's historic cathedral, just 7 miles to the south.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Mesmerising view over Whitstable Bay that constantly changed. Calm days with blue skies to dramatic storm clouds whipping up the sea just at the end of the garden. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped accommodation. Perfect for dog walks on beach. Overall we had a very relaxing week. Perfect place unwind and recharge.

It is really fabulous (and a little scary :D) how the sea came in so close that I could see it's white horses dancing underneath the gate, there was a high onshore wind though, it was to be expected, we're pretty much boaty, shippy, people, with a shared ecological and historical passion. If you are looking for one lovely big room to relax in then this cottage has it. The main room with the view of the sea from the bi fold doors is designed in four sections. The kitchen, the dinning, the TV viewing and then the sofa that lets you view the sea. Downside are the small bedrooms that back onto a main road.

This is a lovely cottage right on the seafront at Seasalter. The main living room/kitchen area could not be faulted. The decor was really good and the "seaside" touches just brought it all together. Location is second to none - views were breathe taking. Tranquillity and calm of the sea where we could watch the tide come in and out, as well as the sun setting and rising. We went for walks, swam in the sea and just chilled in the house. It's a great base to explore Herne Bay, Margate, Canterbury and of course Whitstable.
