Located on the edge of the Ashdown Forest, in the pretty village of Maresfield and under 0.25 miles to the village pub and shop, this spacious property is ideally situated for family get-togethers. Enjoy scenic walks right from the doorstep, following local footpaths that meander through the beautiful countryside. Enjoy a family day out at nearby Sheffield Park and Gardens, home of the Bluebell Railway, where you can take a steam train ride through the Ashdown Forest and on to East Grinstead. Winnie the Pooh enthusiasts can enjoy a game of Pooh sticks at nearby Pooh Corner, and for more family fun take a trip down to the Sussex coast where there are a wide choice of beaches at Eastbourne, Saltdean and Brighton.  The local Bluebell Vineyard offers tours and tastings.

The property is a stand alone holiday home located on the owners small holding with the opportunity to explore 10 acres of woodland belonging to the owners.  Enter the property into the hallway where there is space for dropping off shoes and coats, and head into the very large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with breathtaking views of the countryside beyond. Relax on one of the comfortable sofas, light the wood burner on a chilly evening, and curl up with a good book, or watch your favourite programmes on the Smart TV after a busy day exploring. Tucked away just off the lounge is a quiet sitting area with a sofa bed (please enquire if this is required when booking).  The spectacular kitchen offers everything you will need for creating delicious family meals including an electric professional range master with induction hob and double fan assisted ovens, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, wine chiller, boiling water tap, and coffee machine. There is plenty of seating for everyone around the dining table and check out the unique breakfast bar designed by the owner !.  A wet room with shower and WC and a utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer complete the ground floor. Heading upstairs you will find four bedrooms, two king-size master bedrooms, both with the luxury of a free standing bath in which to relax and admire the glorious views, they also have TV's, and en-suite shower rooms with shower and WC. The remaining two bedrooms are two family suites with a king-size bed and a high sleeper single bed, TV's and they share a Jack and Jill shower room with a shower and WC. The spacious landing area is light and airy and offers a place for children to pull up a bean bag, get out the board games or watch the Smart TV. There is also a ladder (with a safety lock) that leads up to a secret den area where teenagers can chill out playing the Xbox 1.  There are stair gates at both the top and the bottom of the stairs for added safety and to help keep pets on the ground floor.

Outside, there is an extensive enclosed garden which is east-facing and is a real sun trap, it offers a number of seating areas which are ideal to relax in after a busy day exploring or enjoy sociable family mealtimes with the gas BBQ. There is also private parking for up to four cars.

The property has been lovingly designed and renovated by the owners with many unique features for you to uncover and enjoy and make some amazing holiday memories.  Dogs are very welcome but are restricted to the ground floor only and not allowed on the furniture.  Stair gates are fitted for your conveneince

Lovely property! Fantastic to cook and entertain in. We did a big walk to a nearby village for lunch at a great pub. Owner was there to help with anything and left some lovely food and drink for us. Highly recommend!

The location is a beautiful, peaceful rural setting with private woods for our dogs to enjoy and various footpaths in the vicinity affording easy access to the Ashdown Forest and two local pubs. Wonderful Barn . Very spacious with a large garden and well appointed decking. Very suitable for 4 dogs and we were able to use a meadow for dog training, as well as the garden The Hosts could not have been more welcoming. They also recommended a private chef which we used for a birthday party. They also had recommendations for walks and dining. LoRead morevely walks start from the Barn or you can do the various Winnie the Pooh walks in Ashdown Forest. Would not hesitate to recommend the Barn Hide

We really loved our stay at Bramshill. We were made to feel very welcome by Dee, Hugh and their children. A beautiful home to stay in with an amazing view, perfect for children and dogs. There is alot of local attractions from Sheffield park, wilderness wood and Knockhatch adventure park. We loved visiting Uckfield and Heathfield with some great plRead moreaces to eat. The cottage is kept really well and was spotlessly clean on arrival. The furnishings are lovely and we found all the equipment we needed to make our stay a comfortable one. What a fabulous week we had. Beautiful house, spotlessly clean and intelligently designed so that the large house worked perfectly for the 3 generations of our family. Large enclosed garden that our 3 bulldogs loved. ( as did we ) Dee and Hugh were the perfect hosts, extremely helpful and available if needed. The house was perfect for our family holiday. It was spacious, well-equipped and has stunning views. The bath in the bedroom was a big hit with the kids and the older children enjoyed the privacy of the snug. The house is lovely, but the house is only part of what makes this property special. The setting and views are beautiful and is ideal for dog owners, with a large enclosed garden and walks into the woods which were a delight. We saw deer each day including a close encounter in the woods. We were there for a long weekend with the family ( 6 adults 4Read more kids and 4 dogs) to celebrate our 40th, I don't think we could have found anywhere better. Beautifully renovated, had lovely luxury features. Decoration was spotless, warm & welcoming. We felt well accommodated in terms of needing an accessible holiday for my mum. A great venue for multi-generational, family get-together!

As a group of 4 couples we found the open plan arrangement on the ground floor perfect for a very sociable weekend, the welcome food and drink basket was a lovely touch and the hosts were a really lovely welcoming family. Bramshill is a gem of a property, hidden in a lovely part of East Sussex. The welcome gifts (esp. those for the children) were a very generous and thoughtful touch. Bramshill is a lovely modern, fully appointed property in the Kent countryside near Maresfield with great views of the rolling countryside. We had a lovely stay. It is probably a bit over-priced compared to similar properties we looked at but it was available which helped.

The hosts are so kind and welcoming. They couldnt do enough to make our stay truly memorable and special. The house is stunning, the views are breathtaking and the property has been finished to a high standard. We will definitely book again
