This lovingly decorated former cart lodge boasts stunning interiors throughout and is located perfectly for couples wanting to head out and explore the abundance of local historic towns.
This delightful lodge is located in the quintessentially English village of Goudhurst. Only moments away from the village shop and three country pubs, it is also within reach of the glorious Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens, the former home of Vita Sackville-West. You are right in the heart of hop and windmill country and on the doorstep of a lovely selection of pretty vineyards and wineries. Only half an hour away from the Kent and East Sussex coastline, the village is perfectly placed for long days out at the beach and trips to traditional fishing villages dotted along the coast. For those who enjoy shopping, the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is a short drive away and for interesting days out, there are the magnificent cities of Canterbury and Brighton as well as the historic towns of Battle and Rye.
As you enter through the small courtyard, you will find the lodge ready to welcome you inside. High vaulted ceilings with authentic beams and high windows offer you a taste of its previous life. There is no sign of that now however, as the lodge has been thoughtfully renovated and has a charming light and airy open-plan interior. The bespoke under floor heated kitchen has everything you will need - an electric oven and hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine/tumble dryer. Here you can whizz up a gorgeous meal that you can enjoy in the cosy dining area with its dining table and four chairs. Then relax on the comfortable sofa to watch a film on the Smart TV complete with DVD or sit in the armchair to read that book you have always meant to catch up with. When it’s time to end the day, retreat to the bedroom where you can sink into the comfortable king-size bed. There is also a shower room and WC.
Outside, head along the path to the large garden where you can enjoy a morning coffee on the terrace area or relax on one of the two sun loungers. You will be met with spectacular views across the countryside which can also be enjoyed in the evening as there is a table and chairs and charcoal BBQ for alfresco dining. There is private parking for one car.
