This beautiful barn offers light and airy accommodation with vaulted ceilings in a peaceful countryside setting with a hot tub, making it a perfect getaway retreat for couples.

Nestled in the pretty village of Bredgar, which lies within the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this picture-perfect Kent village has many listed buildings, a Medieval Grade I listed church, a local pub at the end of the lane, farm shop, and café overlooking the large village pond. This delightful accommodation is perfectly situated to explore Kent’s many attractions such as Leeds Castle which is only a 7-mile drive and a whole host of stunning National Trust properties, vineyards, gardens, and country parks. For those who like the great outdoors there are World Heritage wildlife sites such as Swale Estuary National Nature Reserves and the Saxon Shore Way, both within 20 miles and offering fantastic local walks and cycle trails. Historic towns such as Canterbury and Faversham are within 25 miles as is Whitstable, famous for its harbourside walks, boutique shops restaurants and Oyster Shacks.

Enter through the stable door, which opens into the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with vaulted ceilings that offer a sense of open space. The lounge area has a Chesterfield leather sofa and two armchairs which overlook the garden and countryside beyond, making it the perfect spot to relax and chat with friends over drinks after dining at the handmade oak table with seating for all. The kitchen area is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, and an island with leather stools which is ideal for enjoying a morning coffee, a spot of breakfast or that pre-dinner cocktail. The two spacious king-size bedrooms lead off from the lounge; one of them has direct access to the garden and both enjoy countryside views. The ground floor is completed with a shower room with a shower and WC. Heading up the stairs to the mezzanine level you will find the snug in the eaves of the barn, a quiet space to chill with a good book on either the sofa or large bean bags or enjoy your favourite programmes on the Smart TV.

Heading outside is a large south-facing garden that enjoys all day sunshine, with a decked area that has an outdoor quality rattan dining table with chairs, and a Master Spas hot tub. Relax after a busy day exploring with a glass of fizz, watch the sunset over the countryside beyond, then soak up the outside space at night with the large, open, starry night skies. Or perhaps enjoy the set of handy binoculars for a spot of birdwatching. There is a fire pit and BBQ provided for guests’ use and private parking for two cars.

A stunning new build cottage, ideal for a break from modern life with the spacious interior and a welcoming Hot tub after a long day sight seeing. The hosts are extremely attentive and were on hand for local advice on places to visit etc. A very nice village with a very nice local pub just a short walk away.
