This apartment is situated minutes from the centre of Rye, a beautiful historic small town in East Sussex. Rye is a popular town for visitors, steeped in history with is cobbled streets and historic pubs, whilst also having a chic edge with its range of independent shops, cafe-bars, restaurants and galleries. There is even a tiny independent cinema, which is perfect for rainy days or a date night. Within a ten minute drive of Rye is the seaside resort of Camber Sands, popular with families due to its expansive beach, it is definitely worth a visit.
Take the brightly painted stairs to the first floor and step inside this stunningly chic apartment. The light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has been given a stylish retro edge, with its original Ercol chair, 1960s leather sofa, vintage coffee table and feature fireplace - but don’t worry, the TV and DVD player are up-to-date. The kitchen/dining area is also the perfect mix of vintage and contemporary with its fold-out dining table and interesting retro decoration alongside the modern appliances, including oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Across the landing, the bedrooms have a chic seaside feel to them. The master bedroom feels delightfully relaxing with a double bed and window overlooking the garden area, whilst the other bedroom has bunkbeds which small children will love, as well as the cute lighthouse lamp. The two bedrooms have a coloured glass window between them, but there are blinds on both sides to allow for privacy. The bathroom is contemporarily styled in white and has a shower over the bath.
Outside the property there is a small courtyard which becomes a real suntrap on sunny days and is the perfect place to relax. Or alternatively enjoy a winter stay where you will be in prime position for viewing the torchlight parade, fireworks and bonfire on Bonfire night. Due to the property's location there is no parking attached to the cottage, but there is a car park opposite which costs £6 per day. Alternatively the Market Car Park is a ten minute walk away and costs £1.50 per day, but is not available on Thursdays when the market is in town.
