  • Enclosed garden to the rear of the property with decked seating area

Property code: WCC07

Attractive Victorian terraced cottage sleeping six guests, situated in the pretty seaside town of Whitstable, within walking distance of the town’s shingle beach.

Sleeping six people across three bedrooms, this delightful character cottage is ideal for larger families or for holidaying with friends. Its central location puts it within easy reach of the town's beaches, harbour and High Street, where you will find a wonderful range of independent shops and art galleries, not to mention an impressive choice of restaurants, gastropubs and cafes.

The front door opens into a chic open-plan lounge/diner, with a tiled fireplace in the lounge and wood burner in the dining area for cosy nights in. Beyond the dining area is a galley-style kitchen, and as is usual in this style of property, the bathroom can also be found on the ground floor, offering a shower-over-bath and WC. Steep, cottage-style wooden stairs lead to the first floor, where guests will find two double bedrooms with attractive original features. A further set of steep, narrow stairs lead up to the attic space on the second floor that has been converted into a light and airy twin room. Be aware that this room has a sloping ceiling and some reduced head-height, and also does not have its own door; steps open directly into the loft room. To the rear of the property is an enclosed garden with a decked seating area and patio furniture, providing the ideal space for al fresco drinks or meals.

With the heart of Whitstable less than 300 metres from the door, the town's amenities and seafood specialities are never far away. The town also provides easy access to the history-steeped cathedral city of Canterbury, 7 miles to the south, and to Margate, 19 miles to the east, where you will find the Turner Contemporary gallery, Dreamland pleasure park and glorious sandy beaches.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The Cottage is located close to all the amenities that Whitstable has to offer. The beach at Tankerton is a short walk away too. The cottage is comfortable and easy to manage though the steep stairs would not suit anyone with limited mobility. There is a nice sitting area in the garden.

Lovely cottage, by far its best asset is its proximity to the high st and harbour, literally a 3 min walk! The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The complimentary bottle of Prosecco was a nice touch! The fishermens cottage arent suitable for children in my opinion, nor the elderly or infirm as the stairs are tooRead more steep and narrow. But our group of middle aged ladies had a lovely time and the accommodation suited us perfectly Hide

Good location for high street, harbour and beach as well as local shops, restaurants. Stairs are very challenging not suitable for children or older people with dodgy knees or backs. Well equipped, could have a few more cosy elements such as rug or cushions on chairs. Nice little outside area to sit when sun shines. All in all a good stay, not luxuRead morery but adequate and good location. Would recommend with the above pointed out. Hide

A lovely cosy cottage close to shops , restaurant and the sea. The garden is a great sun-trap. Our 2 dogs were happy there. Heating worked well. Very steep stairs. Difficult to park.

I grew to love this property more each day. Fantastic for our dogs too . It was comfortable and relaxing but I did not feel worried about furniture or decoration. The owners have thought of everything ! The heating was fantastic as was shower and double beds and everything was clean and tidy

Ideal location but stairs were really really steep and narrow. We were a party of 6 and it was too cramped but 4 would be fine

A comfortable, spotlessly clean, well presented and equipped cottage. The location is perfect for central Whitstable and the harbour. On street parking is very limited.

Crinkle Cottage is in a fantastic position for the Harbour, beach and High St. plenty to do and so many great restaurants. Easy access to shops and supermarkets.. Only drawback is parking but to be expected in a small seaside town. You will find a space eventually.

Crinkle Cottage is in a very good location in Whitstable. Easy access to shops, harbour, beach and places to eat. Whitstable itself is a great place to stay for a holiday; feels like a busy, working town but not too crowded with tourists. Great eating all around town and the micro breweries are excellent.
