This lovely property is located in the heart of Rye. It is beautifully decorated throughout, this stylish bijou-style holiday home is full of vivid colour, fascinating furniture and antique finds, all in a convenient central location.

This 17th century grade II listed cottage is located in the centre of the lovely town of Rye in East Sussex. Rye is a historic town; with cobbled streets, hidden-away pubs, chic shops and cafe-bars, it is a far cry from your average town centre. Instead here, shoppers will enjoy discovering hidden treasures in the antique shops and finding unique gifts in the independent boutiques. Even seeing a film here feels special, with a bijou independent cinema perfectly in keeping with the town.

This wonderful cottage is a true gem and has many period features alongside unusual decoration. Entering the property from the rear entrance, you will come straight to the kitchen with adjoined dining area. The kitchen benefits from an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The washer/dryer can be found under the stairs. The dining area has a wooden table, chairs and quirky church pews which add to the unique experience of this cottage. A door from here leads to the bright lounge, with open fire, sofa, chairs, TV and DVD player. There is a huge range of books to choose from, so keen readers will feel very at home here. Steep stairs lead to the first floor, which make the property unsuitable for guests with mobility issues or those under the age of 12. The master bedroom suite looks out over the cobbled streets and features a metal framed double bed and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom also has a metal-framed double bed, whilst the third bedroom has twin beds. The bathroom is on this floor and has a shower over the bath. A steep laddered staircase leads to the Moroccan-style den on the top floor, which is the perfect place to watch films with its comfortable low level seating, TV and DVD player and drinks fridge.

An authentic and inspuiting place to stay. Very cozy, clean and well facilitated in beautiful and friendly Rye.

The property is in a wonderful location for the town, being right in the centre of the High Street (actually known as The Mint in this part of town), so it is great to have everything on doorstep - shops, restaurants, pubs. When weather is fine, Rye is a beautiful historic place to just wander around and enjoy.
