This beautifully converted former pool house has access to a swimming pool in the warmer months. It also offers stylish bijou accommodation for those looking for a romantic getaway for two on the edge of the South Downs.

This cosy cabin is situated in the village of Cooksbridge in East Sussex. Although the property is in a very rural location, it is less than a ten minute drive to the town of Lewes, with its mix of independent and high-street shops and many tearooms and restaurants. There is also a small independent brewery here, so pop in to try one of their ales, take a look around the shop or even join a tour. In the village itself, there is a welcoming pub with a high quality menu, perfect for an afternoon in front of the fire or in the beer garden.

Find this chic cabin beside the inviting pool, which is available for guests to use between the months of May to September. Enter the property through the French doors, and be astounded by how homely the owners have made it. The double bed sits directly in front of the doors, so you can throw them open and enjoy the view to the pool from your pillow. Or perhaps enjoy a film on the TV and DVD player whilst you snuggle under the covers. Next to the bed are two comfortable armchairs, the perfect place to enjoy a book and a glass of wine as the evenings get colder. A wooden dining table sits in front of the window, just to the side of the cabin’s kitchen area complete with microwave, fridge/freezer, kitchen sink, toaster and kettle. Steps lead to the small but stylish en-suite shower room.

The pool is right outside the cabin and there is a patio area with al fresco dining furniture and barbecue directly in front of the cabin doors. There is plenty of parking space at the property.

  • One double bedroom

A little 'warmth' from the host would have made a huge difference, admittedly I was really ill before leaving home and didn't read instructions, so didn't realise key was in key safe, no reply to messages whilst waiting in baking weather. We did find key eventually. When host arrived she was extremely frosty about the fact we could not operate TV, Read morestating she had never used it and had no idea all information was in book. A host who had no wish to be helpful or even exchange pleasantries. Hide

Great little cabin, comfy bed! Recommend Bentley Motor Museum and Wildlife for 8. This is great and Michelham Priory.

Thank you for the perfect little cabin. Everything I hoped for. Pub across road for one night's dinner. V good. And then the 2nd night the basic kitchen here was perfect (and by no means basic). We stocked ourselves up with a Cook supper from Lewes and had a relaxing evening watching Paddington, drinking wine and eating your lemon cake.
