Thoughtfully designed, this charming one-bedroom holiday apartment is close to Fairlight and Rye. It may be compact but it contains everything you could need for a romantic getaway in the beautiful countryside.

This cute studio apartment is located near to the village of Fairlight, located in the Hastings Country Park, a conservation area comprising over 660 acres. This is a popular area with walkers, or those who just enjoy getting away from it all and enjoying a taste of the quiet life. For those looking for a little bit more, the historic towns of Hastings and Rye are both within a 20 minute drive of the property and both have plenty to offer the visitor, from Rye with its cobbled streets and independent shops, to Hastings with its famous seafront, fresh fish stalls and Norman castle.

The apartment is located in the large grounds of a farmhouse and adjacent to a small working farm, but still offers a sense of privacy to guests. Exterior stairs take you to the front door of this first floor property, which opens straight into the open-plan studio. Though bijou, the property has everything that you will need for a quiet break away and manages to feel light and airy thanks to the Velux windows in the roof. The double bed is situated in the middle of the room and from here you can watch the TV with built-in DVD player, whilst listening to the sound of owls hooting outside, or, if you prefer you can relax on the leather sofa. The kitchen is compact but efficient with its two-ring hob, microwave with integrated oven and grill, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and fridge with ice compartment. There is no washing machine, but the owners are happy to do a wash for you, if needed. There is an extendable table on which to take meals, or alternatively, you could eat outside on the decking. The en-suite shower room has everything you will need for a comfortable stay.

The property benefits from a lovely first floor decked area with bistro-style table and chairs. Below the property there is parking for one car.

Lovely cottage in a nice and quiet location but with a couple of good pubs close by and close enough to the coast. Paul and Anne made us feel very welcome and had a bottle of wine and some food waiting for us. Would definitely recommend

We had a warm welcome from Paul and Jane on our arrival, in the property they left us some milk ,eggs bread , butter and even a bottle of wine. The location was beautiful and wonderfully quiet. Easy access to the coast and only a fifteen minute walk to the nearest pub . We had some very nice days out and nice walks in the local area.
