300-year old converted stables located in Eastbourne Old Town, just a short distance from the town centre and 1.5 miles from the town’s wide beach and Victorian Pier.

This property is located slightly to the north of Eastbourne town centre, in the historic Old Town, which is peppered with traditional pubs and independent shops. The town centre, a mile away from the property, offers a wider range of shops, as well as a number of attractions including the interesting Life Boat Museum, the town’s bandstand which offers a busy programme of concerts, and the newly restored Victorian pier offering a range of venues including a nightclub, a tea room, and a fish and chip restaurant. Heading out of town, the surrounding area has some of the country’s most iconic scenery, including the breath-taking vistas of Beachy Head and the South Downs National Park.

As soon as visitors arrive at this cottage, they will see just how much though has been put into creating an attractive place to stay. A path leads past the pretty cottage garden to the front door, which opens onto the light-filled lounge where guests can make themselves at home on the inviting sofa and comfortable arm chairs. There is a TV here for guests to enjoy, as well as a DVD and CD player. A door leads from the lounge through to the kitchen, where guests will find an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge with ice compartment. The washing machine, meanwhile, can be found in the shed in the rear garden. The shower room is also located on the ground floor of the property offering a walk-in shower and WC. Upstairs there are two bedrooms. The first of these is a pleasant double room which overlooks the pretty. courtyard garden. The second bedroom is a restful twin room which overlooks the front of the property and has a double built-in wardrobe.

Outside, there is a courtyard garden to the rear of the property which offers garden furniture, allowing guests an attractive place to enjoy drinks during the warmer months. To the front of the property, there is a traditional cottage garden with a lawned area and well-tended flowered borders. There is unrestricted roadside parking available close to the property.

We had an enjoyable short break in Eastbourne staying at Haven Cottage. It is warm and cosy and was perfect for our needs. Close to the town centre and all amenities. Would consider staying there again.
