This converted farm building has been beautifully transformed into a quirky and unique holiday cottage offering a tranquil getaway in idyllic rural surroundings for couples, with plenty to see and explore on the doorstep. Located just outside the picturesque village of Biddenden, with its row of weavers’ cottages and village green, several shops, a restaurant, as well as, a tearoom. Just outside the village is Biddenden Vineyard, a lovely place to wander around, before a visit to the shop for wine tasting and refreshments. There are Vineyards, Beaches, Leeds & Sissinghurst Castle locally and close to Pilgrims Way.

Enter the cottage through the front door which opens into the welcoming open-plan kitchen/diner. The kitchen includes an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and TV. In the dining area you will find a farmhouse table. From the kitchen, stairs lead to a cosy mezzanine with a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as twin beds on request). Due to the nature of this lovely building, eaves are sloped to one side of the bed . There is underfloor heating in the kitchen/diner and the bathroom.

Outside there is a secluded garden area with a bistro table and chairs, and stunning views across the lake. By arrangement, there is access to the owner’s laundry room with a washing machine and indoor and outdoor drying facilities. There is allocated parking for one car and bicycle storage.

We rented the property to visit family situated in Kent prior to Christmas and comfort daughter who is presently receiving cancer treatment at Maidstone Hospital. The bed though comfortable was difficult to get in and out due to the eves of the roof. The location is very rural, down narrow lanes which were flooded because of the constant rain 6 outRead more of 7 days. Overall the property was very comfortable and possibly the location better in summer than November. But we will not return there again. Hide

Clean and spotless, lovely accommodation in beautiful grounds, especially the lake and wild life. Kind and helpful owner. Should win an award. We found it hard to find.
