Found in the charming seaside town of Whitstable, from this cottage you can enjoy a coastal holiday with a difference. Enjoy its beautiful sandy beach and the many water sports it offers, from sailing to windsurfing and kite surfing, or for something a little gentler, try one of the many scenic coastal walks on offer. Whitstable is also well-known for its oysters, celebrated every July at the town’s annual festival, and there are a wealth of excellent restaurants, cafes and pubs to choose from throughout the town, as well as several independent shops. The cathedral city of Canterbury can also be found nearby, with historic sights to see including St Augustine’s Abbey and St Martin’s Church.

Decorated with a nautical theme throughout, this property is sure to remind you you’re beside the seaside. The lounge, with exposed floorboards, is a wonderful place to relax in the evenings, thanks to its gas flame-effect fire, TV and DVD. Over in the dining room, there is a table and chairs perfect for both hearty breakfasts and intimate evening meals, while the kitchen offers all the home comforts you could need in the form of an electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. The property’s shower room can also be found on the ground floor, with its shower cubicle and WC. Upstairs are the cottage’s three bedrooms: a double, a twin and a single (please note: the single can only be reached via the twin bedroom).

Outside, guests are able to relax in the enclosed patio garden, complete with furniture, perfect for an outdoor meal or an evening drink. Roadside parking outside the property is sometimes available, and there is also a public car park close by.

This cottage is right in the centre of the town, about 5 minutes walk to the beach and the same to the harbour and restaurants. The style is "Shabby chic" with the emphasis on the shabby. Loads of mis-matched furniture and equipment but reasonably comfortable. The WiFi worked fine for the first few days and then it gave up and we couldn't connect. Read moreParking is interesting. If you are lucky and find a space in the street outside, you are inclined just to leave it there and never move. Hide

Lovely little cottage, excellent central location. Spotlessly clean on arrival. We felt at home straight away. Very well equipped. I followed another reviewer's tip and parked at the station (10 mins' walk) after unloading, and just kept renewing by phone. Loved the little courtyard garden. Comfy bed.

Dont expect to park outside to unload, people park on the yellow lines. The minister of the church next door allowed us to unload there. Take your own toilet rolls, soap, teaspoons, sharp knives. These are not provided.

Cottage is close to town and beach. We have been to Whitstable 4 times now and love it. The bug bear is parking. If you are having problems you can park at the train station for 3.20 for 24 hours only a 10 minute walk away

Honeypot Cottage is very well located in the centre of Whitstable. There was a problem with the boiler - very low pressure and as a result didn't have enough hot water for showers and the heating wasn't great. Michaela was great and came out to help but we still had trouble. A plumber turned up on the morning we left to repair the boiler, the fire Read morein the living room and the cooker. Maybe this should have been sorted before we rented the cottage. Hide
