 Sympathetically converted, this cosy cottage is located on the outskirts of Robertsbridge. It features contemporary styles with plenty of original charm throughout making for a welcoming and cosy rural hideaway.

This delightful cottage is located near to the village of Robertsbridge, which is found in the heart of 1066 country, close to the historic town of Battle. Robertsbridge is a pretty village, with several timber framed buildings dating as far back as the 14th century. There is a village shop and bakery, as well a selection of cosy pubs to choose from. For those who enjoy sightseeing, the local area has lots to offer, with Battle Abbey, Bodiam Castle and Pashley Manor all within a short drive. The seaside town of Hastings is within a 20 minute drive away and has many interesting shops, restaurants, and also Europe's largest beach launched fishing fleet.

Step through the front door of this cosy and welcoming cottage into a small hallway. To the left of the hallway is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, decorated in cheery tones. The lounge area has a comfy sofa and armchair and views of the garden beyond, where you will often see the owner's ducks enjoying themselves waddling around, there is a TV, DVD player and a selection of books and board games. If you decide to stay in and cook a meal the kitchen/dining area is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster and fridge/freezer. There is a dining table and chairs for three people. The bright and cheerful bedroom is tastefully decorated in an art deco theme and has a king-size bed. The shower room features a large, walk-in power shower and WC.

Outside, to the rear of the property is a raised decked area with table and chairs. The shared garden is mainly laid to lawn and where the owner’s ducks roam freely. There is a separate purpose built BBQ area at the bottom garden with a large BBQ, fridge and table and chairs. Parking is available opposite the cottage.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Absolutely wonderful little cottage only a 10 min walk from town but hidden away enough that its vomoletely peaceful. Had such a good time that we ended up staying an extra few days (easy to sort with the owner, he was so friendly). Couldnt have been happier with our choice of getaway. Would strongly recommend the cosy pub and Indian restaurant in Read moretown. Hide

The cottage was in a lovely location and convenient for many places of interest. The owner gave us information on walks but we couldn't find any info on emergency no's and waste disposal etc. which would have been useful. The bed was very comfortable. We ate at the George and the Spice Indian restaurant in Robertsbridge which were both excellent. RRead moreobertsbridge is a lovely village. Hide

Very quiet and peaceful setting in a good area for National Trust members as there are many Trust properties within easy reach. Owner very kind and helpful.

The cottage is located very conveniently for a wide range of National Trust gardens and houses and other historic places to to visit in east Sussex together with the coast. The locationis ideal for those seeking tranquility. The owner who lives at the site is extremely courteous and helpful and knows the area very well.
