This cosy cottage is in an idyllic location and ideally suited for walkers and couples wanting to explore the abundance of historic towns and Sussex coastline, just a short distance away.

Escape to the heart of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and enjoy a romantic retreat in the pretty village of Ticehurst. Start your day with an al fresco coffee in the charming courtyard and end it with seaside fish and chips and sunset date nights in the bustling resort of Hastings (17.5 miles). Enjoy the fresh air from the moment you wake and throw open the patio doors in the bright bedroom.

Tranquil hues with bursts of colour create a welcoming ambience in the open-plan living space which is perfect for couples. This peaceful haven has all you need to enjoy some rest and relaxation after days in the great outdoors and the space is filled with natural light from the windows which offer courtyard views. Cook up a storm together in the pretty kitchen area or relax and keep the chef company from the comfort of the sofa. Make the most of the sun and sit outside with a tipple before drifting off for a restful sleep in the double bedroom which is treated to a contemporary en-suite shower room. Sitting in the owner’s grounds, your privacy is assured and you can settle in right away.

Lace up your walking boots or take to two wheels and head out to explore. 3 miles from your door is the fantastic Bedgebury Pinetum Forest where tracks and trails wind their way through the trees and past Marshall’s Lake so you can enjoy a waterside wander with a drink from the cafe. For a sea swim or a sandy picnic date, escape to the coast for the day and visit Bexhill (19.5 miles), Hastings (17.5 miles) or Camber Sands (24 miles). Stay closer to home and saunter 1.5 miles to Pashley Manor Gardens, open from spring through summer.

We were welcomed with a helpful explanation of the facilities. Towels, tea towels, provided. Good single story accommodation quietly situated behind the owners house, we had the use of the patio garden between, they kept their blinds closed for our privacy, which was very thoughtful. Parking in front of their house and access by a side path. On theRead more outskirts of a pleasant small village with a convenience store and other shops, and pubs. Hide

For us it was great, good location for our needs on this trip as we used to live nearby and knew the area well. Handy for Ticehurst village with good facilities and links in all directions.
