Quiet and peaceful yet within easy reach of Chichester and the coast, this rural retreat is a fantastic base for exploring West Sussex. Couples can spend quality time together away from the distractions of modern life. After a tiring day walking the coastline, relax in style in the hot tub with a glass of something fizzy.

This pretty cottage is tastefully decorated in warm tones in the open-plan living area to make you feel right at home. Turn up the digital radio in the kitchen to catch up with the news over breakfast and fresh coffee before heading out for the day. Later, after an intimate dinner for two, choose a film from the DVD collection and watch it while curled up on the sofa. Or simply gaze out at the view of the garden through the patio doors as you mull over your adventures together. When your day is done, retreat to the sumptuous master bedroom in the eaves of the property. Outside, as well as a private hot tub, there's a bistro table and sun loungers in the enclosed garden – great for al fresco dining and topping up your vitamin D levels.

For those looking to explore the coastline, the shingle beach at Climping (8 miles) is a Site of Specific Scientific Interest. Further along the coast, West Wittering (11.5 miles) offers an unspoilt sandy beach nestled behind dunes, with views across to the Isle of Wight. Keen racegoers can enjoy a flutter at Goodwood Racecourse (7 miles), while history buffs can marvel at exquisite mosaic floors at Fishbourne Roman Palace (6 miles). This cottage was so convenient to go into all the local areas such as Chichester, Arundel and Little Hampton. It was so clean, quiet and homely. The night times were beautiful as you could clearly see the night skies! Would definitely recommend!

We managed using central heating wich worked very well. Only thing I would say is property should be advertised as shared and not a cottage Hide

We had a wonderful week here. The cottage was really clean with excellent facilities, we particularly loved the well thought out garden space. Anne, our host was on hand via text for any queries and replied quickly. The location is really peaceful, but easy to get around. Would definitely return & recommend.

The cottage was lovely and private, the hot tub was an added bonus. The location was great, nice and secluded with shops nearby and a beach within 3 miles. The layout of the cottage was good with a lovely big garden area! I liked that the bedroom was on the second floor which was nice and spacious. Ideal for a romantic long weekend away!

Such a lovely cottage to stay in. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need. The hot tub is definitely the highlight, so relaxing! If youre looking for a quiet getaway with privacy but close enough (under 10 min drive) to shops/amenities this is the place to be.

Absolutely lovely annexe not cottage and the owners have gone above and beyond to make it a lovely home from home. The only downside was we was understanding it was a cottage and completely private. We arrived in the dark it was only reading the guest book and going out next day our property was the back off another annexe which we shared the same Read morecourtyard to enter the propertys. which made it alittle difficult to relax knowing someone was on the other side off the wall.
