The cottage is situated in the small village of Brookland in the heart of rural Kent. Quiet and idyllic the village is a real hidden gem, with its cosy pub and unusual church with wooden spire which is separate from the church itself. Surrounded by countryside, if you are hoping to get away from it all then this is the ideal place for you. However, for those who like to keep busy, the area has much on offer. The historic town of Rye is within a 15 minute drive and offers some splendid independent shops as well as a bijou cinema and a wide variety of places to eat.
This property offers single-storey accommodation, adjacent to the owners’ home. The main lounge area is bright and tastefully decorated and has lovely period features, including beams and vaulted ceiling. There is a comfortable sofa, a small woodburner, for which an initial supply of logs is provided, and an impressive Welsh dresser, there is also a TV and DVD player for curling up in front of. The dining table is also located in this room. The kitchen is light and spacious with a large American-style fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine. A door from the kitchen leads to the outside space. The master bedroom is located off the lounge and has a double bed, dressing table and free-standing wardrobe. This space has an understated, elegant feel and the owners clearly have an eye for detail. The en-suite bathroom has a walk in shower and is contemporary and bright.
Outside the property there is a patio area with bistro-style table and chairs. A hot tub is here too, which is available to guests between the hours of 9am-9pm. Beyond this area, through the garden, there is a gate which leads to the heated pool, with chairs and loungers beside it. The pool is available from May to 15th September between the hours of 9am-5pm. There is parking for one car.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
