This converted stable block has been beautifully decorated throughout to create a stylish and tranquil hideaway for two with luxury accommodation and hot tub, surrounded by beautiful Kent and East Sussex countryside.

The cottage is situated in the small village of Brookland in the heart of rural Kent. Quiet and idyllic the village is a real hidden gem, with its cosy pub and unusual church with wooden spire which is separate from the church itself. Surrounded by countryside, if you are hoping to get away from it all then this is the ideal place for you. However, for those who like to keep busy, the area has much on offer. The historic town of Rye is within a 15 minute drive and offers some splendid independent shops as well as a bijou cinema and a wide variety of places to eat.

This property offers single-storey accommodation, adjacent to the owners’ home. The main lounge area is bright and tastefully decorated and has lovely period features, including beams and vaulted ceiling. There is a comfortable sofa, a small woodburner, for which an initial supply of logs is provided, and an impressive Welsh dresser, there is also a TV and DVD player for curling up in front of. The dining table is also located in this room. The kitchen is light and spacious with a large American-style fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine. A door from the kitchen leads to the outside space. The master bedroom is located off the lounge and has a double bed, dressing table and free-standing wardrobe. This space has an understated, elegant feel and the owners clearly have an eye for detail. The en-suite bathroom has a shower over bath and is contemporary and bright.

Outside the property there is a patio area with bistro-style table and chairs. A hot tub is here too, which is available to guests between the hours of 9am-5pm. Beyond this area, through the garden, there is a gate which leads to the heated pool, with chairs and loungers beside it. The pool is available from May to 15th September and, like the hot tub, between the hours of 9am-5pm. There is parking for one car.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

We spent Xmas at this cottage. The owners were very generous with an amazing basket of goodies for the Xmas period. Whilst the cottage is attached to the owners property, we found our privacy was respected. It is a cosy cottage, lovely warm during the cold weather. We really enjoyed staying at this place. Got to the room late at night to find a bottle of wine waiting for us which was a really nice touch and went down a treat. The owner Simon was really friendly and nice. Maybe as some constructive criticism. The hot tub turning off automatically shortly after 5 o'clock while we were still in it was not good. Lovely cosy cottage. Comfy bed and pillows. Sufficient storage space. Well equipped kitchen. A very generous welcome pack. Really enjoyed staying here, felt like home. Hosts very friendly as was lovely Elsie the puppy. Unfortunately unable to make use is the pool or spa as weather a little inclement.

We had a lovely break here - a short drive from Camber Sands beach and the picturesque town of Rye. Such a great cottage, especially with nice treats like the hot tub and pool. Simple and stylish furniture. (Only fair to mention that the house is actually on a main road, so a little bit of traffic noise, but not too bad.)
