My wife and I stayed at the cottage for a week to visit the local area and found the cottage extremely clean and well equipped and was decorated and furnished to a very high standard. It is a lovely cottage with a very pretty courtyard garden and we really enjoyed our time in the cottage. Our hosts were lovely and the cottage is comfortable and clean, but I agree with other comments, the cottage is very small for 4 people. The master bedroom is lovely and doubles as a second sitting area which is useful. But the second bedroom is really tiny. A great choice for walkers and nature lovers because you have access to some great walks frRead moreom the property. The patio is a sun trap in the morning and early afternoon. So lots to recommend. We stayed here as a couple. Lovely peaceful cottage in a great location. One of the best self catering places we've ever stayed at. Well equipped with full size hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge (with freezer compartment) and washing machine. Two TVs one upstairs & one down. Good internet connection. This cottage is fabulous, very cosy and welcoming, we loved coming back after a day out. On arrival, after a long drive, the owners had left tea, coffee, milk, orange juice and biscuits and the place was warm and spotless. Everything you could need is supplied - washing machine, hairdryer and even washing up liquid!!! Steve, the owner, was at the eRead morend of the phone, and close by, if we needed anything. Well stocked shop at the end of the lane along with a pub for great meals. Highly recommended!!! Hide

Like a Porsche 911 the apartment is well built and very well equipped but, like the 911, its not big enough for four adults. Two adults and two young children at most. The upstairs bedroom is delightful with great views downstairs and dining has everything you could need but is cramped.

Great cottage. So comfortable and homely. Beautifully furnished with very comfortable beds. Great location for walking dog. Short walk to shop and local pub (The Fox) which offers lovely food. Owners on hand and very welcoming. Highly recommend.

Lovely accommodation, very clean, practically brand new . Great location on the edge of the South Downs . Very friendly owners (Steve and chris ) and very attentive.. great local pub called the Fox just a few minutes down the road and the food was superb . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay .

Lovely little cottage on the edge of the Southdowns. So quiet and peaceful very relaxing. Steve the owner was very welcoming and friendly gave us local information and was on hand if needed. A welcome gift of milk orange juice tea and coffee was a very thoughtful gesture.

Property as advertised, photographs are an accurate reflection. Big enough pfor 2 adults and medium sized dog, squeeze for 4 adults. Property clean and well equipped. Location good for exploring all of Sussex, walks to do in the immediate area. 20 minutes drive to coast. 10 minute walk to village pub - The Fox - which serves good pub grub. Small but perfectly formed. This is a lovely little cottage with tasteful furnishings and a gorgeous little garden. Steve was really helpful with recommendations of places to go and it is right on the edge of the downs, perfect for walking. The Fox in the village does great food too.

A lovely, well-equipped little cottage, in a beautiful and peaceful location. The cottage courtyard is really charming and great for bbq. We visited with a puppy (unable to go for walks yet), and the courtyard is an ideal space to let a puppy run around whilst you relax. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful too. This was a perfect getaway for us, my wife, myself and the cockapoo. We were very comfortable and everything we needed was within walking distance i.e. shop and pub. Lovely place.

The cottage is situated over two floors with the bedroom doubling as a living/dining room and the kitchen/bathroom downstairs so all very compact. However, it is well designed and quite comfortable. It is well situated for exploring the beautiful Downs, and Steyning village nearby has a good independent grocery as well as several tea/coffee shops (Read moreand don't miss the museum). Excellent location for walking with a range of walks including the South Downs, woods and valleys all from the doorstep. Lovely cottage cleverly designed to make best use of the compact space. Courtyard offered outside space for the dog as well as al fresco dining. Helpful suggestions for walks and eating out.

Perfect location, close to shop, pub and walks from door. Lovely, secluded courtyard to enjoy in good weather. The sloping walls in the main living area would be restrictive for tall people. Compact, but fully functional.

The house was beautiful and in such a gorgeous location as well, the hosts were very accommodating and friendly, made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay here again.
