Lovingly converted this delightfully stylish holiday cottage provides a special couple’s getaway in the glorious Kent countryside. Kick back and relax or head out and explore the great pubs and restaurants on the doorstep.

This beautiful barn conversion is set in the grounds of the owners’ home on the outskirts of the Kentish village of Rolvenden. An idyllic location, it has much to attract those who are looking for a quiet getaway. The lane outside the property leads to the vast Morghrew Estate, within which there are many walks to be enjoyed. Returning to the village, warm up in the local pub, the 15th century Bull Inn. The village also benefits from being home to one of five stations on the Kent and East Sussex Railway line, a steam railway which runs from the small town of Tenterden to the imposing 14th century castle at Bodiam.

This delightful property for two has been stylishly converted and you will be impressed by the sense of space and rustic charm. Steps lead from the outside to the first floor of the property. The main barn area is a light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with wooden beams and vaulted ceiling. The lounge has a comfortable sofa, so that you can curl up and watch a film on the TV and DVD player or relax with one of the magazines or books provided. Please note that there is a low beam in the lounge. The kitchen area is filled with light, thanks to the two overhead windows, there is an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Next to the kitchen area is the dining table which enjoys a prime spot in the large window. The master bedroom is located off the lounge and has a king-size bed, dressing table and built-in cupboard. Please note there is a low threshold into the bedroom. The en-suite shower room has a large walk-in power shower.

Outside, the property has its own private garden with outdoor furniture, including a sofa. The rest of the garden and paddock can be enjoyed with permission from the owner. There is parking for one car.

Please note there is a refundable £300 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

The owners are very welcoming. It suited us because, we are both only five foot five tall, and so the beam across the room and the low bedroom door were no problem, no ducking our heads! We enjoyed our long weekend very much. We spent a day in Rye and went to Smallhythe, Sissinghurst gardens, Bodiam Castle, drove to Chartwell and then came back via The Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells - all worth a trip. We had dinner at both local Bull pubs and The Three Chimneys - all super dooper.

We have had an excellent week. High quality accommodation and Fiona could not be friendlier. How she arranged the weather I can't imagine - who would have thought one could picnic on Winchelsea beach in mid-March! We loved our 6 night stay in this lovely, modern and very clean new apartment. The owners have thought of everything a holiday maker needs when away from home. The open plan living, kitchen and dining room are well furnished. The kitchen has an oven, electric glass stove top, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine. Good quality crockery, cutleRead morery and cooking utensils are supplied. The garden is manicured and pretty with private outdoor seating, provided to guests, behind the apartment. There is also a bench seat looking over their large pond full of fish. Behind the property are rolling hills and paddocks. The apartment was very clean throughout and supplied with quality linen including fluffy large towels, hand towels, face washers, bath mat and a variety of toiletries. The close town of tenterden has 2 large supermarkets, a Waitrose and a Tesco. There are plenty of cafe's, restaurants, pubs and shops. The property was quiet and peacefil so great for relaxing. The owners and their dog are very friendly, professional and eager to please. We highly recommend Little Puddingcake and will return in a heartbeat when we get the chance.
