Single-storey cottage sleeping up to six guests, enjoying a seafront location in the village of Seasalter, just outside the vibrant seaside town of Whitstable.

This beachside retreat guarantees there is something for everyone within easy reach, whether it's exploring the nearby harbour in Whitstable, fine dining, taking a nature walk along The Swale or simply kicking back on the beach, which stretches in either direction from the end of the garden.

On entering the single-storey property's open-plan living space, guests are greeted with fantastic panoramic sea views over Whitstable Bay. Two bedrooms lead off from the living space – one double and one bunk bedroom that is ideal for younger guests – with additional accommodation provided in the living room by a double sofa bed. From the living area, patio doors open out onto a raised deck with patio furniture and loungers for relaxing in the sun and enjoying the sea air. Four steps lead down to a fenced garden area, with a gate leading directly onto the beach.

Known for its excellent gastropub serving local seafood, the village of Seasalter lies 2 miles west of Whitstable, which can be reached by road or along the beach. Here you will find plenty more pubs, restaurants and cafes, as well as a great range of independent boutiques and a thriving arts scene, with a number of galleries and workshops to explore. Slightly further afield lie the historic streets and ancient cathedral of Chaucer's Canterbury, just a 7-mile car or bus ride south, while journeying 20 miles to the east leads to the golden sands of Margate and Broadstairs, not to mention the vintage fairground rides at Dreamland pleasure park and the jewel in Margate's cultural crown: the Turner Contemporary art gallery.

Very comfortable cottage, spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Great location for sunny days on the veranda or bracing walks along the beach. Really lovely location, private garden that leads onto a very quiet beach. Went with our 18 month old and was perfect, no stairs and all gated in. High tide creates little lagoons that are shallow and warm. Small well laid out lodge/bungalow. Road noise is high. Dog friendly so anticipated a bit of dog but was a lot of fur over everything. Lovely relaxing property, do have some recommendations though - the crockery really needs sorting, it is all over the place! Ditto the glasses, pots and pans and the cupboard containing the cleaning materials. A coffee table in the lounge would be good too. Apart from that we really enjoyed our week, loved the bed linens and duvets, really comfy. TRead morehank you. Hide

It's a lovely cottage. Amazing views, great living room, good equipment. Very dog-friendly too. The weather was perfect, so we spent a lot of time in the garden and walking on the beach. We also swam every day when the tide was high. Even if the weather hadn't been good, we would have been happy in the big living room, looking out at the sea.

What an outstanding cottage with outstanding views. The cottage had all of the creature comforts you would want when away, it was very clean throughout and all linen was provided. Plenty of cleaning products provided to assist during our stay.... A nice touch was a pair of binoculars which quite frankly never left our side such a lot to see. What a lovely place in a wonderful location. Clean, comfortable and the best view to wake up to. We were able to check in earlier which we really appreciated. Loved walking the dogs straight on to the beach. Herne bay was a lovely place to visit near by. Would highly recommend this house for a relaxing holiday.
