Stay at this lovely cottage, which has room for up to four people, for some quality time with your family or friends in a rural, rustic setting. Spend your days walking or cycling along the trails of the scenic and heritage-rich North Downs Way or enjoying extended pub lunches. In the evenings, settle into your cosy holiday home with a home-cooked meal, a glass of red and an exciting plan for tomorrow.

The property has been tastefully decorated, with a cheerful colour scheme and wooden furniture. It's equipped with handy modern features such as a Smart TV, dishwasher and coffee machine to make your stay extra enjoyable. Relax together in the spacious lounge/diner, either sitting down with a book or laying out the maps to draw up a route for tomorrow's walk. Outside there's a private garden with furniture where you can enjoy meals on warmer days, making the most of the fresh country air while lambs frolic nearby during the summer months.

The house is deep within the Kent Downs, home to spectacular landscapes taking in wonderful woodland, rolling hills and diverse wildlife. The nearest pub is in Bossingham (1.5 miles) while you'll find a general store in Stelling Minnis (2 miles) if you need supplies. Visit Canterbury (7.5 miles) to visit the world-famous cathedral, wander through medieval streets and drift down the River Stour on a punt. Whitstable is a great option for a day out by the sea – explore the independent shops before heading for a pint at the pub on the beach.

A pleasant and roomy accommodation, with comfortable beds and furniture. Kitchen well kitted out. Host very friendly and amenable. Lambs on the farm in Spring, and fresh farm eggs were an added bonus!

We have stayed for a week at Petham Cottage. A nice central position to explore Kent. It is on a busy road but at night is really quiet. The owners were very welcoming and we had a nice chat with the lovely couple :) It's a small farm with chicken and sheep. The owners provided us with a fresh bloomer, fresh milk, a bottle of wine and cookies! So wRead moree didn't have to rush to a supermarket for someting to eat and drink :) The kitchen is fully equipped and the bedrooms are large. Hide

My children and I had a wonderful stay here and Virginia was so friendly. She kindly let my children feed the lambs and gave them a tour of the farm where we saw some chicks. There are lots of great days out in the area for families our favourites being Port Lympne reserve where we went on safari and the rare breeds farm where the children were ablRead moree to wash the piglets! We also had a lovely river cruise on the river Stour in Canterbury. Generous welcome pack with wine, fresh eggs, bread etc Hide

Very nice cottage located 5 miles from Canterbury. Great location to travel from for days out to the coast or walk through the beautiful countryside . Spacious and comfortable. Nice touch with the fridge being stocked up with eggs, milk, bread and drinks when we arrived. Very friendly hosts close by to help you if needed.

We liked the accommodation - good layout and everything we needed. Nice welcome from the owners with a good welcome pack which meant we could have a cup of tea and biscuit before we went out shopping. Nicely located in terms of getting round Kent although we only found 1 establishment open for evening meals in the locality - which was good.

Lovely cottage in rural location with owners running the adjoining farm and on site for any snags. Peaceful and relaxing. Ideal base for exploring the East Kent area. We thoroughly enjoyed the time.

We had a fantastic week. The cottage had everything we needed, and is really comfortable. Virginia works really hard to make it so. She's lovely to talk too also. It's ideally located too, with all the places we wanted to visit close by. I'd definitely recommend Oast House Cottage and will book again in the future.

The cottage was clean throughout, nicely furnished and unexpectedly very spacious inside. The kitchen was also very well equipped. The location is very good for exploring nearby Canterbury and we did different trips daily further into Kent too. We enjoyed a wonderful stay there...so thank you to the kind and charming owners.
