This is a very quaint, characterful cottage with a wonderful location right next to the beach. The cottage is delightfully quirky (indeed even a little scruffy around the edges in places such as the conservatory) but also very comfortable (lovely fresh white bedlinen and fluffy towels). The living room and bathroom are very small, but the main bedrRead moreoom and conservatory have plenty of space. We had rubbish weather but really enjoyed exploring nearby Rye, Dungeness, Hastings and beyond. Hide

The location is stunning, quiet and peaceful. There's easy access to the beach and the reserve and perfect for dog walking, getting back to nature and to unwind. The night sky is fabulous as are the sunrises.

Gorgeous little cottage right by the sea. It has so much character and we loved the slightly old fashioned look inside where everything is so well equipped and super comfy. It's so convenient for the beach and lovely walks, next time we will definitely plan to take our dog. It must be very cosy in the winter too - we hope to be back.

Perfect location - 15 steps to the beach! Tides were perfect allowing us to walk right down on the sands amongst the seagulls and rock pools. Pett is very peaceful with only sound the insistent call of the wind. We had sunshine and rainy days - this cottage and location are perfect for both!

A really great place to stay for families with young children. Just a few steps from the garden to the beach (mostly peebles, sand only at low water). The garden is not well maintained, but there is some shadow to play in. Hastings is 15 minutes away and has some attractions. The kitchen is usefull equipped. The only negative thing to say about thiRead mores Cottage is the really tiny bathroom. Taking a shower is nearly impossible without setting the whole room under water. But we could deal with it. The cottage was a little bit smaller than expected from the photographs. It was in a beautiful location but note that the beach off to the right is a private beach and also dogs are not allowed on part of the public beach between May to September. Both disappointing, as we planned to spend most of our time on the beach with the dog.

very thoughtful use of the space which makes a small cottage very usable. The conservatory is a really nice big space. Everything works. The cottage is on a quiet road, Pett Level beach is accessed by walking thru the back garden and up a set of steps. If you want calm and quiet then this is for you.
