This cosy former fisherman’s cottage, close to the beach, has charm and character, offering stylish accommodation from which to enjoy a seaside holiday.

Located at the heart of Hastings’ popular Old Town, you have everything you need here to enjoy a classic British seaside holiday with a difference. The resort’s beach and promenade can be found just across the road from the property, while you can spend hours at George Street’s antique shops, cafes and restaurants, situated just around the corner. Five minutes away you can discover Hastings’ iconic fishing sheds and the Jerwood Gallery, while just a few more minutes’ walk will take you to the hill railway, with the Hastings Country Park lying in wait at the summit. Learn about the town’s smuggling past at Smugglers’ Adventure, an educational family attraction.

Upon entering the property, you will come across the charming kitchen, which also has a dining area. This is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up a simple meal and enjoy your stay here, including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment and a washing machine. There is also a small storage area, with a peg rail and bench, ideal for storing your coats, bags and shoes. Follow the original stone stairs down to the former cellar, which has been converted into a snug perfect for a cosy night in, kitted out with a Smart TV/DVD, a selection of films and shelves lined with books. The snug also has a futon day bed which can sleep an additional guest if required. Back up to the kitchen/diner, a panelled wooden stairwell leads upstairs and into the lounge, decorated with comfortable sofas and armchairs. Curl up in front of the warming wood burner with a good book or even kick back and listen to some much-loved classics on the record player. Open stairs take you up another floor from the lounge, where both the bedroom and shower room can be found. The bedroom is cosy and inviting, and features a double bed as well as wonderful views out to sea, while the shower room contains a walk-in shower and WC.

Parking is available at two nearby 24-hour car parks (charges apply); however, you can unload luggage from your car directly outside the property.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

One West Street is beautiful! We were greeted with prosecco and milk on arrival which was a lovely touch after a long journey. This is such a warm and cosy cottage with a stunning interior, no attention to detail has been missed. This is a perfect base for exploring Hastings and the South Coast, we had an amazing holiday and we hope to return!

Lovely cottage with great decor. Super located in the old town of Hastings. Would not hesitate to come again.

An immaculately kept cottage in a fantastic location on Hastings sea front. 50 meters from a great little pub and several restaurants including an award winning chippy. The cottage is well equipped and has a great feel about it from top to bottom. The lack of garden is more than made up for by being so close to the beach.

Thank you for letting us stay in your amazing cottage. We stay away regularly and One West Street is easily one of the best we have stayed in. Great location and a wonderful base to get to know Hastings from. We will be telling all of our friends so expect more bookings from Milton Keynes coming your way. Thanks for everything.

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a prime location, just on the other side of George Street. Stylish and quirky interior design yet very comfortable and cosy; the perfect hideaway. Recently renovated, it is spotless. The log fire and record player were a joy.

My wife and I spent 2 days in Hastings recently as part of a week long break and I booked 1 West Street because of its quirky appeal. We loved it. Set over 4 floors it was well equipped and super cosy thanks to the under floor heating. Would definitely go back.

Lovely quirky cottage with funky interior decor. Our 7 year old loved the old suitcase full of surprise toys!

One West Street is super cute and very cozy. It is right in the middle of all the excitement of Hastings Old Town and seaside activities but quiet and private. We loved all the thoughtful touches and will be back soon!
