Traditional fishermen’s cottage, sleeping six guests in stylishly finished accommodation, located just a few yards from the beach in the popular seaside town of Whitstable.
Ideally suited to larger or extended families, or a group of friends, this delightful end-of-terrace cottage is at the heart of Whitstable. With the beach just 50 metres from the door, lazy days in the sun are never far away, while the High Street – with its independent boutiques, artist galleries, and restaurants and pubs serving freshly caught local seafood – is less than 500 metres from your door.
Finished in a chic, contemporary style, this three-storey property has a kitchen/diner on the ground floor, along with a snug for cosying up with a good book. Doors open onto a private shingled seating area with garden furniture, providing the perfect spot for al fresco drinks and meals. Upstairs is a stunning light-filled lounge, with doors leading out to a seafront balcony. The first of three bedrooms – a double room – can also be found on the first floor, along with a bathroom with shower and WC. The remaining two bedrooms are on the second floor, comprising a double room and a twin room, both of which have a sloping ceiling and reduced head-height.
With the heart of Whitstable just a short distance away, there is no necessity to travel far, but with so many great destinations to explore it will be hard to stay put for long. Alongside the beach, one of the country's long-distance walking paths – the Saxon Shore Way – runs east and west, taking in the Kent marshes, Faversham, Herne Bay and Reculver. Alternatively, head east by road or rail and the seaside town of Margate is just 19 miles away, with its sandy beach, retro-styled theme park and contemporary art gallery. The cathedral city of Canterbury is also within easy reach, with its historic streets just 7 miles south by car or by bus.
