This cosy cottage is ideally suited for walkers and couples wanting to explore the abundance of historic towns and Sussex coastline, just a short distance away.

Conveniently located at the foot of the South Downs in the pretty Sussex village of Beddingham, surrounded by farmland, within close proximity to Lewes with shops and pubs and only 5 miles from the coast, making this the perfect place for a relaxing break. Those looking to soak up the local culture can enjoy the world-renowned Summer concerts at Glyndebourne Opera House, explore the first property acquired by the National Trust in Alfriston, visit Charleston, former home of the Bloomsbury Group, and where Virginia Woolf would often visit, or the Rathfinny Wine Estate, one of Europe’s largest privately owned vineyards. Brighton is only a short drive away with it's Royal Pavilion and a shopper’s paradise offering boutique shopping combined with fantastic places to eat and drink.

Enter this pretty studio cottage, located in the owner’s grounds where there is space for dropping off coats and shoes before heading into the bright and airy lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area. The cosy lounge area is the perfect place to curl up in one of the armchairs after a busy day exploring and watch a film or favourite programme on the Smart TV or relax with a good book. The kitchen is well-equipped with a double electric oven and gas hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher and a DAB/CD radio, perfect for preparing romantic meals which can then be enjoyed at the breakfast bar with bar stools. The bedroom area offers a sumptuous king-size bed and a handy freestanding unit, this doubles as storage for guests’ belongings, with a space for the Smart TV so you can enjoy a lie-in watching your favourite programme, and a divider from the kitchen/diner. The property is completed with a shower room with shower and WC.

Heading outside to the patio area that's set within an acre of well-kept garden, the garden offers spectacular countryside views and the patio table and chairs are perfect for sitting out on a warm evening and enjoying the magnificent sunsets. There is ample private secure parking available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We echo everything that has been said about the cottage and the extensive garden. Our spaniel loved the freedom of the garden. There were extra touches such as fresh flowers, a welcome pack of orange juice, milk and wine in the fridge which were unexpected. The accommodation far exceeded expectations, with a wonderful garden that was very secure for our dogs. The weather during our stay was exceptional and really allowed us to make full use of relaxing in the lovely garden. A really great location with many good walks, pubs, attractions and coast only a short drive away. Having endured the hell that is the M25 to complete the journey, to find an ice cold bottle of Chablis awaiting your arrival, it was immediately clear that this cottage would deliver everything that we would need. It did not disappoint in any shape or form. We cannot wait to return.

The holiday let was very clean, with everything you would need for a weeks stay. The garden is beautiful set in a wonderful location and fully secure for our pet. Great location for the South downs & the coast. David & Carry were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. A very lovely room set out really well and in beautiful surroundings. The owners, David and Carry were most welcoming along with their lovely dog, boots, too. We only had a very short stay but would certainly return to stay again.

Cannot find anything to fault with this cottage. Beautifully decorated, well equipped kitchen with luxurious bedding and great shower. You have use of the large pet friendly garden and the owners dog Boots is more than happy to entertain your pooch. Carry and David are great hosts and do everything they can to ensure you have a great stay. The cottage is beautifully decorated, well equipped with a very romantic feel . The garden is stunning with gorgeous views and we saw some epic sunsets . Lots of walks nearby and Seaford is only 10 minutes drive away. The courtyard cafe we found on a walk was a real gem . Lovely cottage, beautifully presented, perfect for break to East Sussex and good distance to all local coastline places of interest, apart from busy road adjacent to property, with traffic 24/7 everything else absolutely perfect! allowed to share beautiful garden and were a dog friendly holiday let. The cottage was charming & we were very comfortable. It was the best appointed place weve stayed in. The owners are lovely & make you feel at home. But I think its our dogs that had the best time playing in the beautiful garden with Boots.

A pretty and comfortable little cottage in an location that has a huge garden overlooking the Sussex countryside. A really "bijou" cottage, designed and decorated to a high level. Very helpful and friendly owners who responded to our every need! The situation is well placed to explore the neighbouring villages and the Downs but you need a car to get to them , plus to the starts of walks or to the local pubs. This is a very cleverly designed large room with fab bathroom ( great shower) which has been recently renovated to a very high standard. It is comfortable and extremely well equipped with access to a large garden and wonderful views. The hosts could not be more welcoming or helpful. I was sorry to leave!
