This light and airy property has been stylishly decorated and furnished in a relaxed way, offering spacious accommodation in the pretty town of Rye and close to Camber Sands.

Nestled in the medieval town of Rye and close to the Strand Quay part of the town the property is within easy reach of the nearby towns of Tenterden, Hastings, and the beautiful sandy beach at Camber Sands. Historic Bodiam Castle, Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and Great Dixter House and Gardens are close by too, perfect for those looking to soak up a bit of local culture. Rye itself, offers easy access to Brighton, Ashford and London by rail making most places easily accessible for a day out and with a wide range of cycle and footpaths on the doorstep, this is the perfect base for couples and families looking to escape it all.

Enter into a spacious porch area where there is space for dropping off shoes and hanging coats. On the ground floor, there is a lounge with a comfy sofa, leather armchair, Smart TV/DVD, CD and a wide selection of books. The kitchen/diner is well-equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, washer/dryer and coffee machine and a dining table with two chairs and a built-in bench for seating, great for watching the world go by over a morning coffee. There is also a downstairs WC. From the hallway, stairs lead up to the first floor where there are two bedrooms, one king-size and one bunk bedroom, and a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Outside there is a unique roof terrace which is accessed from the bunk room. Guests can admire part of the original 14th century town wall and enjoy the sunshine with a bistro table and four chairs. There is parking for one small car in the garage which can also be used for bicycle and sports equipment storage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely cottage, best equipped place we've ever stayed in. Very thoughtful owner. Garage a massive plus, we took our Micra, but there would be room for a car just a fraction bigger, but not much. All in all, perfect

Just spent a fortnight at the cottage which was outstanding. It was spotlessly clean, more than well equipped, with plenty of bed linen, towels etc..and perfectly located. We were left a welcome pack with a bottle of wine, crips etc..and there was a pint of milk in the fridge. The pub didn't bother us at all, as we'd read the reviews prior to bookiRead moreng and any music was over by 11:30 pm in any case. Rye is stunning, the cottage was stunning. The terrace was a big bonus too. Can't fault it. Hide

Beautifully presented, quirky cottage with everything you need on the doorstep. Nice to put the car away in the garage provided and take advantage of the many pubs, restaurants, and shops within a couple of minutes walk. Even the town's independent supermarket is a 5 minute stroll. We did enjoy eating on the terrace created above the garage on one Read moreevening. Live music at the pub oppisite wasn't a big issue for us but may be if you have younger children as it was loud even inside the cottage. Hide
