This converted farm building has been beautifully decorated throughout to cleverly combine old and new. Offering a tranquil getaway in idylic rural surroundings for two with plenty to see and explore on the doorstep.

This beautiful cottage is located just outside the picturesque village of Biddenden, with its row of weavers’ cottages and village green. The village is home to several shops, as well as, a tearoom and bistro style restaurant. Just outside the village is Biddenden Vineyard, open daily to the public, this is a lovely place to wander around, before a visit to the shop for wine tasting and refreshments. Sissinghurst Castle, once home to poet and keen gardener, Vita Sackville-West, is within a ten minute drive of the property.

Enter the cottage through the side door, which opens into the welcoming kitchen area, with all the equipment you would expect, including electric oven and hob, small dishwasher, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. There is also a table suitable for two people to dine at, with lovely views across the lake. A door leads from the kitchen to the main lounge and sleeping area, which has large sliding doors, giving access directly onto the lakeside decked area. There is a sofa, TV and DVD and an iPod dock. The sleeping area has one king-size zip-and-link bed which can be set up as two singles upon request. The bed also overlooks the lake, making it a joy to enjoy a coffee in bed whilst enjoying the view. At the far end of the lounge is the bathroom with shower over the bath.

Outside, the lake and its secluded decked area provide a beautiful place to while away an afternoon with a book, with its table, chairs and sun loungers. There is driveway parking for one vehicle.

Perfect, tranquil location, absolutely immaculately clean and wonderfully comfortable beds. The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful. Cannot recommend more highly if you are travelling to this area.

Our recent stay at Quarterdeck Cottage was superb. The cottage with it's view across the lake really is stunning - so peaceful and relaxing set in beautiful countryside. The perfect escape but with plenty of lovely places to visit nearby, namely - Pashley Manor gardens, Sissinghurst gardens, Scotney Castle, Rye and Camber Sands and Canterbury CatheRead moredral. We would highly recommend this amazing and extremely comfortable cottage with it's lovely owner who was kind and thoughtful throughout our stay. Hide

The most perfect little paradise tucked away in the Kent countryside - a stay in Quarterdeck Cottage is a delightful and thoroughly restorative break from the hustle and bustle of modern life. This was an excellent cottage in a beautiful setting. It was the first time we have visited Kent , we able to visit some of the lovely gardens in the area , sissinghurst was only a few miles away, we also went to Great Dixter and Pashley. The cottage and views over the lake and the owners garden was perfect .

An idyllic and beautiful cottage in the heart of Kent complete with its own tranquil lake of fish & ducks. Great to sit out on the decking & unwind with dinner, convenient for day trips to Camber Sands, Leeds Castle, Sissinghurst Castle Gardens and many more places. A warm welcome from the family (and their lovely dogs) who own it and have created Read morea phenomenal garden and area to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. We brought the waterproofs - no need as what a week.... not a drop of rain.Visit highlights - Scotney Castle and a visit to Seven Sisters White Cliffs. Both were unexpected. Foody highlights - mainly The Chequers public house in High Halden (great pub grub) and The Tiny Teapot in Biddenden (a lovely tea shop) We have had a fantastic week.
