Elegance abounds in this wing of an impressive Gothic-style family home in rural Sussex. Sleeping 17 people across six bedrooms and welcoming three canine companions, it’s the perfect accommodation option if you want to celebrate a special family occasion in style. Explore the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, host a family dinner to be remembered around the banquet table, or just warm your toes by the wood burner in the opulent drawing room.

Start your day with a swim in the solar-heated outdoor swimming pool, which is available during the summer months. It’s shared with the neighbouring property, but you can book it on a rota basis. Treat yourself to a lazy breakfast in the kitchen’s breakfast area, before heading out to the large private garden, where the views are simply spectacular. If you have an event to celebrate, gather everyone together around the banquet table in the dining room, or head outside and host a BBQ on the patio overlooking the garden. After dinner, retire to the drawing room to curl up in front of the wood burner, or head to the lounge and watch your favourite TV shows. When the day is done, make your way up the grand staircase and you will find four gorgeous bedrooms on the first floor and two on the second floor.

Take a trip to Bateman’s (0.5 miles), the gorgeous Jacobean house that the author Rudyard Kipling used to call home. Prepare to be inspired, as this is where Kipling wrote the poem If. Alternatively, head to Sedlescombe Organic Vineyard (11 miles) and stock up on some organic English wines for your special event.

• Sola heated swimming pool available from 7th May 2021- 26th September 2021 (shared on a rota basis with the other property on site: sole use of the pool for 4 hours per day on a  full days stay)
• Lazy spa hot tub available for private hire, which must be booked in advance directly with the owner
• Please bring your own towels to be used for the swimming pool & hot tub

• Due to the nature of this Victorian house, central heating is included for 10 hours a day between 1st October - 31st March.  An additional charge is due if the heating is required for longer or outside of these periods payable direct to the owner
