Located in the heart of the medieval town of Rye, this charming and traditional three bedroom cottage boasts plenty of period charm, a tasteful kitchen, comfortable accommodation and a pretty courtyard garden.

This regency period cottage is located in centre of the historic town of Rye, in East Sussex. Rye is a popular tourist destination with independent boutique shops, antique shops, art galleries and plenty of eateries, including pubs, tearooms and restaurants. There is even a lovely independent cinema, which shows the latest films, in comfortable surroundings. For beach lovers, Camber Sands is within a 15 minute drive away, with its expanse of golden sands, for a quieter option nearby Winchelsea has a shingle beach and is great for walks and beach combing.

On entering this stunning regency cottage, you will find the comfortable and stylish lounge/diner which has seating for six guests, there is a TV and DVD player and lovely feature fireplace. When the dining table is fully extended, it has seating for six guests. Next to this room is the kitchen, with its oven, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, CD player and washer/dryer. Steep steps which make the property unsuitable for young children and those with mobility issues, lead to the first floor and the master bedroom. This room has a double bed and built-in wardrobe. Also on this floor is the bathroom, with a shower over the bath. Taking the stairs to the second floor, the second bedroom has a double bed and shaker style hooks and hangers for your clothes. Next door is the third bedroom, which has a single bed with pull-out trundle bed, which is ideal for children.

Outside there is a small courtyard, a rare addition to properties in the centre of Rye, where space is at a premium.

Brilliant location and comfortable cottage, with steep stairs to first and second floors. Just round the corner from the iconic and historical Mermaid St and very close to the whole town (everything within 10-15 min walk). There was a confusion about cottages when we arrived but the owners were quick to sort out the problem and gave us a free lunchRead more as an apology. Very helpful people. Missed the games that were advertised on the website though. Would go again. Hide

Excellent location in a wonderful town , characterful cottage, and friendly owners but this property might not be for everyone. There is no parking available (you will need to park in one of the pay and display car parks in town), steep narrow stairs to bedrooms and bathrooms, and the only outside space is a very small, shared courtyard.

The location of this property is brilliant and once you get your head around the parking situation, it's easy peasy! The cattle market car park is the cheapest and only a few minutes walk (not even 5 mins). The customer service from Ian and Sarah is superb. The cottage itself is cosy and warm and the beds were lovely and comfy. I didn't realise thaRead moret it is a shared courtyard garden, which didn't present a problem but just wasn't made clear. Highly recommend the cottage and Rye. It's beautiful Hide
