Characterful Grade II listed weather-boarded property with attractive period features, enjoying a central location in the seaside town of Whitstable in East Kent.

This property enjoys a fantastic location overlooking the seafront in the popular seaside town of Whitstable. A favourite with holidaymakers to the area, the town has a unique character and is populated by independent shops, well-regarded restaurants, and gastropubs. Seafood is the speciality here, and the town is particularly renowned for its oysters, although there are plenty of places to enjoy a simple fish and chip supper as well. A few minutes’ walk around the shingle beach, past the old fishermen’s sheds, is the village of Tankerton, with its sloping beach and prettily painted beach huts, which is a popular spot for families.

This property makes a fantastic place to stay in the heart of Whitstable and on arrival, guests will see just how special it is, with its weather-boarded exterior and attractive period features. The heart of the property is the spacious kitchen which provides a great communal space for friends and family to gather, eat, and simply enjoy one another’s company. The beamed ceiling, wooden floors, and warming AGA create a wonderfully cosy atmosphere in this room, which is equipped to a high standard with an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, cafetierre, breadmaker, washing machine, and tumble dryer, as well as a DAB radio. At one end of this room is a large dining table which comfortable seats six diners, whilst there is also a second dining area in the property’s conservatory which leads out onto the decked terrace. There is also a small lounge on the ground floor, which makes a great place to escape to with a good book or the Sunday papers. A shower room can also be found on the ground floor, offering a shower and WC. The main sitting room, with its uninterrupted sea views, a feature fireplace, and Smart TV/ DVD player can be found upstairs on the first floor, as can two bedrooms. The first of these is the master bedroom with a Hypnos Premier Inn mattress on the double bed, whilst the second bedroom is a bunk bedroom, both of which offer plenty of space for storing clothes. Steps lead to a converted sail loft, now the second double bedroom with a Hypnos premier Inn mattress. Interestingly, there is also a Yahama keyboard in this room which may appeal to guests with musical skills. The main bathroom, meanwhile, is a sanctuary-like space with a large spa bath featuring underwater lighting, and a WC.

Outside, there is a decked terrace just outside the property which offers unrivalled sea views. Parking is available in local public car parks.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

The historic, characterful Sea View House is in the most beautiful position, right on the beach path and close to the sea. The back of the house opens right up to bring the sea breeze and sunshine right inside. Great fun exchanging greetings and local information with the many folk walking past. We loved the cottage & its location. Great for the sea, crabbing & oysters virtually next door. The house is extremely well equipped once we worked out the cupboards and drawers. The kids loved working the old fashioned balance scales. We were able to drop our stuff & park close by. Dont worry that the street is very narrow theres somewhere to turnRead more at the end! For budgeting Gorel Tank car park was 50 for 3 nights. Hide
