Exuding charm and style throughout, this beautiful beach house makes the perfect retreat for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle. Admire the seaside views and explore the surrounding countryside.
This beach front property is situated right on the beach at Pevensey Bay, with its quiet, shingle beach. Just a few minutes’ drive from the property, or easily within walking distance, is the village of Pevensey with its striking castle, now an English Heritage site. Further along the coast, both within a 20 minute drive are the towns of Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea. The De La Warr Pavilion at Bexhill, is now a stylish contemporary art gallery and is not to be missed.
The front door opens into a small porch where you can leave your coats and boots before continuing through to the hall and small kitchen beyond. Here you’ll find an electric double oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher (a microwave is available on request). Once you’ve finished preparing your meals, enjoy them in the dining room, which is light and bright with a large rug, brick fireplace with coal effect fire and seating for six. Internal French doors connect this room with the lounge, which is similarly airy thanks to sliding glass doors to the patio. There is ample seating to sit and enjoy the views out to sea. There is a TV with DVD player, and the owners have left books and binoculars to provide extra entertainment throughout your stay. As well as a bright and clean family bathroom with basin, WC and bath with overhead shower, there is also a twin bedroom on this floor, with views to the garden. There is a turned staircase to the first floor you will find the master double bedroom, which is a serene and tranquil space with fabulous views to the sea, a vaulted ceiling, crisp white linen and a door leading out to a roof terrace (suitable for adults only). There is also a single bedroom on this floor, which benefits from lovely views over the sea and a separate WC.
Outside, a patio area is the perfect spot to enjoy a summer BBQ or morning coffee looking out to sea. The patio gives way to a lawned garden that runs straight down to the shingled beach, allowing you to make the most of this spectacular location all day long. The washing machine and separate tumble dryer, garden furniture, beach toys and BBQ are stored in the boat house as you enter the garden.
There is parking for two cars near the property, and additional roadside parking subject to availability.
