Property code: BT072

Exuding charm and style throughout, this beautiful beach house makes the perfect retreat for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle. Admire the seaside views and explore the surrounding countryside.

This beach front property is situated right on the beach at Pevensey Bay, with its quiet, shingle beach. Just a few minutes’ drive from the property, or easily within walking distance, is the village of Pevensey with its striking castle, now an English Heritage site. Further along the coast, both within a 20 minute drive are the towns of Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea. The De La Warr Pavilion at Bexhill, is now a stylish contemporary art gallery and is not to be missed.

The front door opens into a small porch where you can leave your coats and boots before continuing through to the hall and small kitchen beyond. Here you’ll find an electric double oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher (a microwave is available on request). Once you’ve finished preparing your meals, enjoy them in the dining room, which is light and bright with a large rug, brick fireplace with coal effect fire and seating for six. Internal French doors connect this room with the lounge, which is similarly airy thanks to sliding glass doors to the patio. There is ample seating to sit and enjoy the views out to sea. There is a TV with DVD player, and the owners have left books and binoculars to provide extra entertainment throughout your stay. As well as a bright and clean family bathroom with basin, WC and bath with overhead shower, there is also a twin bedroom on this floor, with views to the garden. There is a turned staircase to the first floor you will find the master bedroom, which is a serene and tranquil space with fabulous views to the sea and along the beach and benefits from an en-suite shower room, sitting area and roof terrace.  There is also a single bedroom on this floor, which benefits from lovely views over the sea and a separate WC.

Outside, a patio area is the perfect spot to enjoy a summer BBQ or morning coffee looking out to sea. The patio gives way to a lawned garden that runs straight down to the shingled beach, allowing you to make the most of this spectacular location all day long. The washing machine and separate tumble dryer, garden furniture, beach toys and BBQ are stored in the boat house as you enter the garden.

There is parking for two cars near the property, and additional roadside parking subject to availability.

This cottage is a gem and it's position on the beach is beautiful and rare these days. There were four of us staying there and we appreciated the space the cottage affords. The owners have really put a lot of effort into providing everything one might need to make the stay enjoyable and comfortable - no wonder guests return year after year.

This is a lovely lovely place to stay. Comfortable, everything you need and we all felt a super sense of relaxation living that close to the sea. We really needed a holiday like this.

What an absolute treat. Usually you find at least one thing missing and it's frustrating but Seymour offered everything. Even a garlic press and cafetiere. The furnishings are lovely very comfortable and welcoming, the view to die for. Lovely welcome pack and more than enough towels etc. We would love to go back in the summer I'd highly recommend

It is a lovely house, quite perfect Alas, virus lockdowns and restrictions meant it was not the get -together planned Part of the time I was on my own and though I still feel Pevensey beach is probably the best place to be just now nothing is quite so carefree as before..Thank you so much for the lovely Welcome basket, very kind and well-thought-ouRead moret and for the thorough sanitising etc One did feel quite safe and cared for These are difficult times Hide

We found the cottage clean and welcoming and felt safe with the extra covid precautions provided by the owner. The location looked amazing in the photos and we were not disappointed when we arrived, I never tired of looking at the beautiful sea views. The beach has the occasional walker but on the whole it was very quiet . My husband did a bit of sRead moreea fishing, there were lots of whiting about and a few codling just starting to come in. I can't think of anything to make our stay better loved it. Hide

Lovely cottage, perfect location. Quiet beach, with only the pretty cottage garden between beach and patio doors. Ideal for us four. Myself, sister, her partner and our 97 year old mum. We had only been there a few hours when Mum wanted us to book for next year. (something to look forward to).
