Stylishly designed throughout with an eclectic mix of artistic and vintage furnishings providing boutique style accommodation in a sought-after rural location, making this a perfect romantic getaway.

Situated in the beautiful Kent countryside, between the pretty villages of Stone in Oxney and Appledore, this wonderfully eclectic property is the perfect place for a stylish romantic retreat. The village of Appledore is only moments away with its quintessential Kentish tea room, village store and antique shop, while slightly further out are the charming Cinque Ports towns of Tenterden and Rye with their independent shops, cafes and historic monuments. For those who love the coast, the endless dunes of Camber Sands are only a twenty-minute drive away with the larger seaside towns of Hastings and Pevensey Bay just under an hour. For walkers, there are plenty of local walks and footpaths as well as the Bewl Water Reservoir and Bedgebury Pinetum, both wonderful days out in the countryside.

As you enter this house, you will immediately feel at home. A small entrance area awaits, the perfect place to leave boots and coats, which leads into a light and spacious vintage-style kitchen/diner. Equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher and coffee machine as well as a large dining table, it is the perfect place to rustle up a romantic supper. The kitchen leads into a gorgeous lounge with a comfortable sofa and various armchairs, perfect for evenings in, snuggling up in front of the wood burner. There is also a vintage record player and a TV/DVD so that you don’t miss your favourite music and programmes while away! Upstairs, there is a double bedroom with a cast iron bed and a stylish bathroom where you can take a well-earned soak in the original Victorian roll top bath. A separate WC is also located just off the bedroom. Vaulted ceilings and exposed brickwork give this room a real sense of space and a huge arched window offers spectacular views from both the bedroom and open staircase.

Outside, there is a garden table and chairs, perfect for enjoying a quiet morning coffee in the sunshine while planning the day ahead. You can also take a walk around the unspoilt grounds, where there is a lake and pond. Enjoy a beautiful touch of the Kentish countryside right on your doorstep with only the sound of nature to listen to.

A perfect property for getting away from it all. Beautifully peaceful surroundings with a vintage twist. We spent 3 nights with the log burner lit and some music playing on the vintage record player, we even bought another vinyl album to listen to (Etta James sounds great here). When we weren't at the property we were checking out all the vintage aRead morend antique stores in the nearby towns, Rye in particular. A real vintage lovers get away and we would definitely consider going back. Hide
