This vintage-styled seaside chalet is located right on the beach at Pevensey Bay, a quiet shingle beach perfect for romantic walks and also a popular destination for windsurfers. Within a 20 minute drive is the seaside town of Bexhill-on-Sea, which enjoyed a new lease of life in the mid-2000s, following the extensive renovation of its iconic De La Warr Pavilion, which has become a popular arts venue and gallery, with a chic café bar. The coastal town of Eastbourne is a 10 minute drive away and further along the coast there is plenty of opportunity for walking at the Birling Gap and the Seven Sisters, where stunning views look out across the sea.
From the parking area at the front of the property, go up the steps to the front door and into the entrance hall, with storage space for coats and beach equipment, leads to the well-equipped kitchen with double electric oven, gas hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and coffee machine for which the owners leave a few pods to start you off. There is also a table which seats four. A side door from the kitchen leads to a terrace area with outside seating. Next door is a bedroom with twin beds, this room has access to the terrace. To the rear of the property is the sitting and dining room which has stunning views across the pretty shingle beach. There is plenty of seating here, with sofa, chairs and a single bed, made up as day-bed, which can be used for an occasional overnight guest. There is a TV with BT vision, DVD player and iPod dock. The dining table seats four and there is also extra furniture which can be taken outside to enjoy the views of the sea. The double bedroom, which overlooks the beach, has a small double bed. There are two modern bathrooms, one which has a bath with handheld shower and the other with shower. The whole house is heated by cosy warm air underfloor heating.
Outside, there is a large terrace to the front of the property, but the real draw is the rear garden, which has patio area with steps down to the enclosed shingled garden space and onwards straight onto the beach. Beach lovers could not be closer to the sea. There is parking for two cars at the front of the property.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
