Tucked away in a peaceful spot adjacent to the owners’ home, yet with privacy assured, this former barn offers stylish accommodation and easy access to the many attractions West Sussex has to offer. If lazy days spent at the beach are your style, the beautiful shores at East and West Wittering are accessible from here or take the short trip into Bognor Regis. Head to the nearby village of Oving, where you will find a traditional inn complete with its own Brewery or explore the many other pretty towns and villages nearby including Chichester and Bosham. Ideally situated for visit to the Goodwood Estate, the property offers excellent road links as well as wonderful walks through the South Downs.

On entering the detached property you are met by a beautiful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with doors leading into the garden and a wood burner for those cosy evenings in. This stunning space has a high vaulted ceiling and contemporary styling, complete with hand crafted wooden details. This is the perfect spot to relax after a day spent exploring the delights of West Sussex, curl up and watch your favourite film on the Smart TV. The seating in the lounge is a king-size sofa bed which is suitable for 2 additional guests, on request at the point of booking. The stylish kitchen area is well-equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge with ice compartment, capsule coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. You are also invited to take a complimentary introduction to Barista coffee so you can make the most of the high end coffee machine to enjoy your own flat whites or expresso's.A  spacious dining area is adjacent for enjoying leisurely  meals. A stylish double bedroom and bathroom, with shower over bath and WC complete the accommodation.

Heading outside from the lounge area you will find a patio with garden furniture and BBQ. This fully enclosed space is a private spot for settling down with a good book or wander past the grapevines

There is use of the owners on site swimming pool between 1st July and 31st August with daily opening times of 10am-12noon and 2pm-4pm

Cottage is located in a lovely village very close to local seaside resorts and shops. However does require some maintenance and de cobwebbing!

We had an excellent week's stay at this beautifully furnished and equipped cottage. Kuniko and Andrew were the perfect hosts - when we had an issue with our car they arranged for a mechanic to come out and repair for us, for which we're very grateful! We'll return (hopefully in the summer when the pool is available).

Kuniko and Andy gave us and our dog a very warm welcome on arrival. We were amazed and delighted by the beauty of the Japanese furniture and influences made by Andy, a talented craftsman. It is beautifully appointed, nothing left out or skimped on. All to a very high standard. The cart barn was excellent in every way. The log fire was burning and freshly cooked muffins awaited our arrival. The cart barn is beautifully designed with lots of bespoke touches & attention to detail inside. We found it really relaxing & a great place to come back to after a day out. It was immaculately clean! And such a nice touch with the home made cakes on arrival. The owners were very welcoming but not intrusive which is a good balance.

Lovely, quiet, clean, stylish and dog friendly cottage. The area is amazing, lots to do and visit, all very close by. If you love walking, there are loads of shoreline walks with traditional pubs along the way. In particular, we enjoyed our visit to West Dean Gardens, Chidham, Bosham and the Weald and Downland living museum.

We had a brilliant week in a lovely cottage where everything had been thought of! Loved the space and the layout of the open plan area. The garden was very well cared for with beautiful flowers. We sat in the garden every day and we were lucky enough to have use of the owners pool, which was very welcome. Our host was most helpful but unobtrusive. The barn is furnished in Japanese style and we really appreciated the craftsmanship of the wooden furniture and the calm atmosphere. Kitchen equipment was excellent. A great base for exploring the South Downs and coast - we stayed for 2 weeks and still didn't get to see everything on our list. Lovely barn very good facilities, ideal location to explore the South Coast with Chichester on your doorstep. Owners live near by and are extremely helpful if required. This is a beautiful cottage in an ideal position only a couple of miles from Chichester. Really clean and well presented with everything you would want. Unfortunately we were there in November so a bit wet and not able to make use of the enclosed garden for sitting out. The wood burner was great to use although more than warm enough from heating. A great location, especially for dog owners. Nice and airy barn conversion, with log burner (not needed this week), enclosed garden and all mod cons. South Downs National Park is on your doorstep with lots of woodland walks, and youre only 30 minutes drive from the coast with West Wittering a delight for dogs at this time of year.

We were delighted with our stay. The cottage is spotless and beautifully styled throughout and has a pretty garden stocked with lavender and fruit trees. The kitchen was very well designed. Our hosts were really helpful and welcoming but also gave us plenty of space. The spiced homemade muffins that were waiting for us on arrival were delicious.

Cart barn was a great place from which to explore the West Sussex countryside. We took our dog and never drove more than 15 mins to find excellent trails, walks and pubs. The barn was very comfortable and equipped to a high standard. The garden is totally enclosed, no way of escape for our dog! Cart Barn was extremely well appointed & presented. The nicest touch apart from the friendly welcome was the Expresso Machine complete with a barista lesson . Great location easy access to Chichester , Arundel Castle, Goodwood Park , Cowdray Park & Petworth . I also recommend the wineries at Tillington as worth a visit .

The Cart Shed is in a great location to explore the South Downs and the coast. The use of the pool was fantastic. Most mod cons were available. Its a coffee haven, which we did enjoy but would have liked a teapot! The only drawback for us was that the bedroom is a metre away from a busy gravel driveway.
