This stylish cottage is conveniently located close to Hastings Old Town, and nearby Hastings Country Park, perfect for keen walkers who wish to enjoy the Sussex countryside.

This stylish maisonette forms part of a large Victorian house, and is located close to Hastings Country Park and within walking distance of Hastings Old Town with its independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Enjoy watching the local fishing fleet come in with the catch of the day or take a ride up the East Hill funicular railway, one of the steepest in England. The local Smugglers Caves offer a glimpse back in time to when smuggling was big business, or enjoy a stroll along the refurbished Hastings pier, winner of the 2017 Pier of the Year award. Slightly further afield is the pretty medieval town of Rye with its cobbled streets and pretty tearooms or take a trip to Battle Abbey to experience the most famous battle in history in 1066.

The entrance to the maisonette leads you into a small lobby area with space for hanging coats and dropping off shoes, and then through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Relax in the lounge area with a comfy sofa and armchair, and a Smart TV or enjoy one of the many board games provided. The compact yet well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, and a dining table and two chairs for enjoying relaxing evening meals. Stairs from the lobby area lead up to the first floor where there is a king-size bedroom and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. The washing machine is in a cupboard in the bathroom.

Down the driveway from the property, there are steps leading down to the fully enclosed garden where there is a table and chairs for two from which to enjoy magnificent views across the fishing lake and a charcoal BBQ. Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely well maintained cottage. High quality bedding and utensils. Despite being on a main road a very quiet location. A bit too far for us to walk to the town. .it is hilly, but just a five min drive.

Good quality fixtures and fittings but let down by small fridge, lack of mirror in bedroom and sofa that looked very nice but wasnt very comfy. Well placed for old town 10 minute walk and country park.

Clean, comfortable and well equipped, ideal for short break with a dog.Propertyis situated on a fairly busy road , but is set back, so you do not notice any traffic noise. Walk into town bit further than we thought with an uphill climb on your return. Very convenient for walking the dog in country park and a cliff side walk short drive. A very nice, clean, comfy cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Everything provided for a pleasant stay. Further from the Old Town and beach than I had thought but the walk across the Country Park was very pleasant.

Very comfortable, well-presented one-bedroom maisonette flat. Decent sized Kitchen/living room/diner with a big single bedroom and en-suite shower/bathroom.
