This charming weatherboarded holiday annexe is the perfect hideaway for couples looking to escape from their day-to-day routines, offering innovative and cosy yet airy accommodation in a beautiful location.

This bijou property is located in Sedlescombe, a beautiful rural village in East Sussex, which is mentioned in the Domesday Book. Just outside the village is an organic vineyard which offers seasonal wine tasting tours and has walks through bluebell strewn woodlands. Further afield, the towns of Rye, Hastings and Bexhill are all within an easy drive away, as is the beautiful former-home of Rudyard Kipling, which is where he came to write The Jungle Book.

A bright hallway welcomes you into the property and leads on to the open-plan lounge/dining room/kitchen. The lounge area is comfortable and cosy, with sofa, TV and DVD player. French doors lead onto the decked area. The dining table is situated in front of the French doors, so you can enjoy the views while you eat. The kitchen area comprises a small unit with oven and sink, whilst the washing machine can be found tucked under the stairs. There is also a wet room on the ground floor, with shower. Stairs from the hall take you to the landing with writing desk and Velux window, to the right of which you will find the bedroom with its king-size bed, and French doors which lead onto a small balcony, offering glorious views across the countryside.

Guests have shared access to the garden, which seem to be an extension of the meadows beyond, with their abundant wildlife. There is even a large fish pond with huge Koi carp. The French doors from the dining area, lead to the decked area with BBQ and outdoor seating. Parking is available to the side of the property. Please note that the property is attached to the owners' house.

 

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Please note there is a refundable £300 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

For this particular property there is a security deposit of £300 which is pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The amount of the security deposit is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

We have recently returned from a wonderful holiday at the Haven, The accommodation was spotlessly clean and most essentials provided even a lovely bottle of wine made from some of the owners grapes. The village pub serve tasty meals and local ales just what you need after a full days sight seeing. Thank you, we hope to return.

The Haven was beautifully decorated and well equipped. The cottage has wonderful views over the owners' garden and surrounding countryside. Well placed for visits to the coast and the many National Trust properties in the area - Bateman's is a must!

Lovely position with a terrific outlook over Sussex countryside. Very nice owners who go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. Nice pub in village too.
