Set in the heart of the Sussex countryside, offering wonderful countryside views, this holiday apartment has been stylishly designed throughout to provide a romantic getaway.

This apartment is exquisitely located overlooking the West Sussex countryside on the edge of the pretty village of Rudgwick close to village pubs and farm shops. Enjoy scenic walks from the doorstep along footpaths that link up with the Sussex/Surrey border path and Wey South Path, both offer some of the most attractive walking routes in the area. Take a trip to nearby Petworth (10 miles) with its selection of independent shops and cafes, that’s also home of the beautiful Petworth House, renowned for the National Trust’s largest collection of artwork. Chichester is only a short drive away (25 miles) with its famous cathedral and is a shopper’s paradise offering boutique shopping combined with places to eat and drink. A set of external steps lead up to this spacious apartment where a warm welcome awaits.

Stepping inside you will find a well-equipped kitchen with views looking over the lake. The kitchen offers everything you need for whipping up a delicious meal for two including an electric oven and hob, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge, wine chiller, and dishwasher. The light and airy open-plan lounge/diner offers the most fantastic views across the lake and Sussex countryside making it the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day. The dining table with seating is set in front of the Juliette balcony, throw the French doors open and enjoy the fabulous views over dinner before retiring for the evening to the comfy sofa and catching up on your favourite TV programmes on the Smart TV. The king-size bedroom offers the same spectacular views, and the property is completed with a shower room with a large walk-in shower and WC.

Heading outside you will find a secluded private patio area with a table and chairs overlooking the lake and grounds. Just a few metres away in the walled garden the swimming pool beckons which is shared with the owners who live nearby. Guests are able to use the swimming pool between mid May and the end of September by arrangement. In this beautiful sun trap area, there are several sun loungers for enjoying a spot of sunbathing.

A beautiful location and a lovely property! We loved our short stay here, it is perfect for a getaway. The hosts were lovely, accommodating and checked in to make sure we were all settled etc. There are some great rural walks nearby that were perfect for our dog too (a bit muddy - but the property provides an outdoor hose for such situations!) and Read morea great local pub - The Fox Inn, which had good food and a nice atmosphere, also very dog friendly. We will be back and we recommend this property. Hide

We really enjoyed our holiday. The apartment was great for 2 people and a dog. It was good to be so close to nature e.g. ducks, moorhens, heron, deer, not to forget the alpacas. The owner was quick to respond to our questions. Whilst the property is on the Gatwick flight line we would not hesitate to book again. We had a wonderful holiday. The excellent location makes it easy to travel to places of interest. The apartment was clean and felt cosy. It was lovely sitting at the Juliette balcony which overlooks the pond, very peaceful after a busy day.

Gorgeous apartment, stunning views of the 'Sussex' countryside. Pool area is very well equipped, sadly, too cold, end of September, to really use it, tried it just the once but too chilly. The Hosts aren't really there, so you can come and go, as you please. In glorious isolation, too, just the sounds of passenger planes, overhead, as it is on the Read more'Gatwick' flightline, but it's not really an issue. Hide

Cottage was great. Clean and well stocked. Views and grounds were great. Made full use of the pool and being greeted daily by the Alpacas.

We were lucky enough to stay during some great weather so the pool was incredible. The property is beautiful and it felt like we could have been abroad. We really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend The Duck Inn for a Sunday roast there's a great canal walk to The Oslow Arms - both places super dog friendly. Great location, the apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Lovely views and walks from the front door, perfect for us and our dog. Ideal location to explore South Downs National Park and surrounding area. Our dog loved being there.
