This was the second stay at the Nissen Hut and just as enjoyable as the first. The log burner made for cosy afternoons and evenings, and the bed is supremely comfortable. The Nissen Hut is in a great location; walks on the doorstep and plenty of places of interest nearby. Would recommend! Hide

An excellent property situated with a lovely view over the countryside up to Tenterden. If you are National Trust members there are a number of properties within easy reach. There is a steam train from Tenderden to Bodiam Castle which is excellent and worth spending a day, see the timetable for operating days. We visited Chapel Down winery for an eRead morexcellent tour of the vineyard followed by a cheese and wine tasting, they also do a number of other experiences as well. The Nissen is a spacious, well furnished, and fully equipped and exceptionally clean holiday home. The view is fantastic and we greatly enjoyed our stay. It is one of the best holiday homes in which we have stayed. The owners, who live in the adjacent house, were delightful.

We had a great week at the Nissen. What a beautiful view, even when it rains. It is also wonderfully quiet. You hear the birds and the bleating of the sheep, nothing else. Everything has been thought of and therefore the cottage is very complete. We really didn't miss anything. The fact that we don't like the bed is personal. We spent a lovely week at the hut. It is spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. It has nice views of the kent countryside and is situated within easy reach of many national trust places and great vineyards. We recommend to family and friends looking to explore this area.

Beautifully situated, very well equipped and spotlessly presented. We loved it. Idyllic countryside view, very quiet and peaceful apart from occasional steam engine sounds which we loved. So much to do and see in immediate area.
