The Nissen provided the perfect base for our holiday. Wonderfully located, and beautifully furnished, it was a lovely to return to it at the end of a busy day to relax on the patio and take in the lovely views of the surrounding countryside. And Alexander and Susan were prefect hosts, welcoming on arrival and discreetly available if required.

We spent a week at the Nissen. It is very well appointed and very spacious with an excellent outlook across the fields towards Tenterden. Excellent bathroom facilities including a walk in shower. There are walks from the property and many places of interest within easy reach. The owners live adjacent to the Nissen and are very friendly.

A very high standard of accommodation in a very quiet rural location yet close to Tenterden with its exquisite architecture, plenty of dining out, distinctive local shops, a Tesco and a Waitrose. Pleasant, accommodating yet unobtrusive owners who live in a large house close by. We would recommend it.

We cannot recommend The Nissen more highly: spotless, warm, well-equipped and filled with so much natural light a joy after what felt like a very dark and grey winter with stunning views across the High Weald. A drawer has leaflets about lots of local attractions: anyone would find lots of interesting things to do in the area. We travelled there Read moreon trains / bikes from London; great (hilly) cycling possibilities. Perfect for a long weekend or week in beautiful Kent countryside. Hide
