This spacious Sussex oast house holiday home is the perfect choice for larger groups wishing to celebrate a special occasion in style, set in extensive grounds for everyone to relax and enjoy.

This wonderful property is set in a secluded area of the Sussex countryside and with five bedrooms, there is more than enough space for a large party of ten friends to get together, or for an extended family reunion. Rural walks are right on your doorstep on the owners 450 acres of woodland and orchards, as well as the surrounding rolling hills.

Traditionally decorated in a classical, rural style, the property utilises vintage wooden furniture and original doors and fittings to create a true old English property. With two kitchens, a formal and informal dining room and a range of lounge spaces, there's plenty of room for ten to relax. Two wood burners offer the chance to curl up in front of a flickering fire, and a TV/DVD means that you can sit down as a group and catch up on a family favourite. In the main kitchen, you'll find all the amenities to feed the family, as well as a dishwasher so you don't have to waste your precious holiday time doing the washing up. You'll also find a washing machine and tumble dryer for cleaning up muddy walking gear. Outside, the generous patio area has space for ten to eat alfresco, with a charcoal BBQ and access to the property's private woodland. Don't forget your rackets, as you'll also have access to the owner's tennis court.

Situated in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it's safe to say you'll have endless walks and cycling routes all around you. If you fancy exploring the more built-up areas of Sussex, then head 7.5 miles down to the historic town of Hastings. Here you can explore the ruins of a castle, browse the independent shops and eateries or check out the local art gallery.

The property is picturesque, well heated and allows visitors to take in the breadth of the southern English countryside. The hosts were on site during our visit and were very considerate, they even lent us a pair of wellies!

This is an amazing property - the location, the grounds, the woodland, the tennis court and above all the house itself. I chose this property for a special birthday weekend celebration and it far exceeded my expectations.
