Traditional fishermen’s cottage, located just moments from the seafront in the seaside town of Eastbourne, benefitting from a raised patio with sea views.
Fall in love with this traditional fisherman's cottage, situated across the road from the seafront in the coastal town of Eastbourne. Beautifully renovated to a high standard, you are still reminded of the cottage's seafaring history at every turn. With incredible sea views, it is just right for a couple or small family.
Inside this charming three-storey cottage, the lounge has an authentic traditional feel, thanks to the whitewashed walls and low ceilings. History has left its stamp here, enhanced by original features such as exposed brickwork. The soft, pastel hues of the kitchen/diner perfectly contrast with wooden work surfaces to create a cosy, warm feel. Up a set of cottage-style stairs is the first of two bedrooms, a double with a wrought-iron bedstead and a floral vibe. And up another set of cottage-style stairs is the single room in the eaves, with a low ceiling and reduced head-height. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard for al fresco dining, plus a patio to the side of the cottage with views to the sea.
Situated in the heart of the traditional seaside resort of Eastbourne, the cottage is just across the road from the town's wide shingle beach. Go back in time, at the restored traditional Victorian pier, with its jazz club, tearooms, and fish and chip restaurant, and visit Redoubt, a seafront fort built during the Napoleonic wars. There is a good range of both high street and independent shops in the town, with a wide choice of pubs, restaurants, and cafes. You'll also find a fantastic outdoor sports centre, which offers tuition in stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, and even raft making. Just 5.5 miles away, discover magnificent Beachy Head and the surrounding South Downs for spectacular views and windswept walks to blow away those cobwebs.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
