Traditional fishermen’s cottage, located just moments from the seafront in the seaside town of Eastbourne.

Fall in love with this traditional fisherman's cottage, situated across the road from the seafront in the coastal town of Eastbourne. Beautifully renovated to a high standard, you are still reminded of the cottage's seafaring history at every turn. With incredible sea views, it is just right for a couple or small family.

Inside this charming three-storey cottage, the lounge has an authentic traditional feel, thanks to the whitewashed walls and low ceilings. History has left its stamp here, enhanced by original features such as exposed brickwork. The soft, pastel hues of the kitchen/diner perfectly contrast with wooden work surfaces to create a cosy, warm feel. Up a set of cottage-style stairs is the first of two bedrooms, a double with a wrought-iron bedstead and a floral vibe. And up another set of cottage-style stairs is the single room in the eaves, with a low ceiling and reduced head-height. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard for al fresco dining, plus a patio to the side of the cottage with views to the sea.

Situated in the heart of the traditional seaside resort of Eastbourne, the cottage is just across the road from the town's wide shingle beach. Go back in time, at the restored traditional Victorian pier, with its jazz club, tearooms, and fish and chip restaurant, and visit Redoubt, a seafront fort built during the Napoleonic wars. There is a good range of both high street and independent shops in the town, with a wide choice of pubs, restaurants, and cafes. You'll also find a fantastic outdoor sports centre, which offers tuition in stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, and even raft making. Just 5.5 miles away, discover magnificent Beachy Head and the surrounding South Downs for spectacular views and windswept walks to blow away those cobwebs.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Cosy cottage a minute walk from the prom and so convenient to walk to restaurants. Parking is a real bonus and sold it for us.

Cottage was in a good location and was comfortable. Would have been helpful to have known where the designated parking space was before we got there.

Delightful cottage, lovely decor plus very comfy beds. Best bathroom ever. Great location near sea and shops. Overall a lovely property, if a few niggles as mentioned above were corrected it would be perfect.

Lovely well kept property in Heart of Eastbourne, close to seafront. However, the actual area leaves a lot to be desired.

A beautiful cottage so close to the sea. Small and quaint, ideal for a couple, and my dog was welcome. Everything that is needed is provided. Wow! What a perfect break, this cottage has been beautifully thought out, really fresh and a great vibe. Very practical, although small everything works really. The bath tub was bliss and great to relax looking up at the vaulted ceiling beams. You can hear the sea from bedroom windows heaven and cant wait to return.

The cottage is pretty, 200 metres from the beach and has the added advantage of a private parking space for one car. The down side are the 5 Biffa bins directly outside the front door.

Lovely, cosy, romantic and quaint cottage right on the seafront yet still lovely and quiet. Lovely welcome from owner and lots of details and information about the area shared to make our trip better. Only grumble is the parking but the owner has said that this is in the process of being sorted by a car parking space being made for the cottage. A rRead moreeal home from home and very well equipped. The roll top bath was amazing! We will definitely return here and have recommended to our friends. Hide
