Tucked away on a fruit farm, this lovely cottage is found on the edge of the charming village of Egerton, a pretty village with its own shop, pub and restaurant – everything you need within walking distance. For a wider choice of places to eat plus a great selection of independent shops, the market town of Tenterden is just a short drive away. One of the area’s top local attractions is Leeds Castle, an impressive historic fortress, while there are several National Trust-run houses and gardens to explore too. This cottage’s location is also perfect for enjoying the great outdoors, with plenty of pleasant countryside walks to be enjoyed from the doorstep.

Entering the cottage through the front door, you will immediately come to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a hugely enjoyable social space. Excellent views out to the surrounding farmland and countryside can be seen from the lounge’s huge French doors. The lounge itself has everything you need to enjoy a cosy night in, including a warming wood burner, plenty of comfortable furniture and a Smart TV/DVD with Netflix. A cupboard filled with games and books, perfect for a rainy day, as well as a dining table seating four can be found in the dining area. Moving into the kitchen area, you will find all of the equipment you will need to comfortably enjoy your stay here, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The property’s two bedrooms are reached via a corridor from the kitchen area. The first is a King sized bedroom, benefitting from French doors which open out to the outdoors and enjoy fantastic views of the rural surroundings, while the second bedroom has twin beds. There is also a bathroom in this part of the cottage, which has a slipper bath, separate shower and WC.

To the rear of the property, guests can find a large south-facing patio area complete with seating and a BBQ; this can be reached from both the lounge’s and the master bedroom’s French doors. By arrangement, guests can also explore the owner’s farm and enjoy some fruit picking (season dependent) or collecting eggs from the chickens. Private off-road parking is available for two cars, and bicycle storage can also be arranged with the owner.

We had a delightful stay at Toll Farm Cottage. Arthur was a very kind host bringing us fresh eggs and apple juice from the farm and inviting us to pick the rhubarb that was in season. The cottage was very comfortable and our daughters loved seeing the guinea fowls, chickens and, of course, Easter lambs! The location was perfect for family days out Read moreto places like Leeds Castle and Port Lympne. We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely come back for more adventures. Hide

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this delightful cottage. The interior is cosy, comfortable and well-equipped. The sunny garden is a lovely peaceful place to sit.

This was our second stay at Toll Farm Cottage and we really loved it. It is an absolute lovely place where our 5 year old son could play around while we had been a relaxing time sitting outside, enjoying the brilliant view over the field and trees. The outside space is great. Lovely views and peace and quite with the exception of the resident Guinea Fowl which occasionally wake you at 5am. There are chickens and two doves as well. This comfortable cottage is located amongst magnificient views across the Weald of Kent and offers a wide variety of walks around farmland. The hosts made a special welcome offering local honey, apple juice and eggs collected on site, which my two young daughters and I adored. Toll Farm Cottage is a beautiful and spacious place to stay and all amenities are available. It is beautifully detached and has a beautiful view of the field with the sheeps and the apple orchard. Toll farm cottage is a super holiday home in a rural environment! It offers a lot of space inside and lovely sunny as well as shaded spots outside to sit and enjoy the beautiful view over the meadow and the orchard. We loved the privacy and quietness the cottage offers, and the cosy athmosphere. We really appreciated the nice welcome gifts, our 'owRead moren' grapes and mint, and other fruits that Arthur offered. Absolutely perfect getaway in an incredibly beautiful place. I dont know how many different ways to say it was perfect. Lol. Everything from the garden furniture, to the couch, to the beds were extremely comfortable. It had everything you need for self catering in the kitchen. Very well equipped. This is a delightful cottage in a beautiful location, so quiet and peaceful but with a pub just down the road and shops only a short drive away. The owners really make you feel welcome. I would definitely recommend it for a quiet break.
