Located in the hamlet of Lenham Heath, this gorgeous annexe is perfect for a peaceful getaway in the heart of the Kent countryside. On the doorstep lies the Lenham Heath Nature Reserve, ideal for country walks and wildlife watching. This cottage is also well-positioned to explore many of the region’s famous castles, including Leeds Castle, Dover Castle and Rochester Castle. More heritage days out can also be enjoyed nearby at the several local National Trust properties, including Knowle House, Ightham Mote and Chartwell, the former home of Winston Churchill. The cottage is also close to Tunbridge Wells for a day of shopping as well as the cathedral city of Canterbury.

Upon entering the property you’ll come into the airy and open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, the perfect place to unwind in after a day of exploring the area. The lounge has a comfortable sofa to kick back on, where you can also catch up on your favourite shows on the TV/DVD. Behind the lounge lies the kitchen area, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay including an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Over in the dining area, you’ll find a table and chairs to seat three, ideal for hearty breakfasts and cosy evening meals. The shower room is also located on the ground floor, with a shower cubicle and WC. Upstairs, you’ll find the two bedrooms, both with restricted head height: one spacious double bedroom and one single.

Outside of the property, guests will be able to unwind in the sunshine on the enclosed garden patio, complete with garden furniture and a BBQ. From here you can enjoy the far-reaching views out across the surrounding countryside as well as the owners’ neighbouring paddock, where their horses and donkeys graze. Ample off-road parking is available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely cottage annex. Quiet location. Plenty of outside space. Ideal for dog walking. There is a nature reserve just a couple of minutes walk away. Very cosy and comfortable.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Very peaceful and gorgeous surroundings. Nice, modern and high quality furnishings. Perfect for just two of us. Lovely place, its not far from local amenities. Our two year daughter enjoyed a lot there as she was very happy to feed the horse, donkeys and fishes in the pond.

A lovely cottage on a private road with a good parking space. A warm and cosy open plan living area with a view to the geen land. Good size bedrooms. A very big and clean patio. We have enjoyed every single moment of our time.

We like to read a paper in the mornings, which meant driving into Lenham. 2 miles. Plus we ate out each night, so again 2 miles. Nice patio and garden. Lovely to see the horse and donkeys. I personally found the bed uncomfortable.

Booked this property at the very last minute for a short two night stay. Everything was made very easy for us and it was so nice to have complementary tea, coffee and other refreshments available for our late arrival. The Annex is ideally situated amidst beautiful and tranquil scenery- and so lovely that the owners horse and donkeys came to say helRead morelo at breakfast! It was a lovely property. The perfect getaway in the countryside. Very clean and tidy, with a real homely feel. I would recommend it to anyone, but you do need transport, as it's beautifully out of the way.

Lovely cosy and comfortable cottage to stay.With a lovely patio and garden area.We were greeted every morning by the friendly donkeys and horse.Owers were friendly and helpful. Good location to explore. Kent Hope to be back one day.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location, spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Friendly donkeys and a horse in the adjoining field who come over regularly to check alls well, remember to take a bag of carrots with you!

A very well presented property in a lovely location. Lovely garden area where you can see a horse and 2 donkeys which are very friendly especially if you have some food for them. The property is immaculate and the shower room is amazing. Suited our needs perfectly and we would definitely return for a future visit.

Wonderful cottage. Very comfortable, peaceful location, stunning views with bonus visits from the friendly donkeys and horse. If we ever needed anything, we just had to ask. Though was not a requirement, internet access would have been a bonus.
